Will the movie have any fightscenes with Steven Seagal ??
Well, first fo all no one knows anything at all about this film. Secondly, i would be very surprised if a Seagal film didn't involve him doing any fight scenes (Black Dawn aside!)

Ofcause there will be fightscenes :) How many is unknown though :) If Keoni Waxman combine the production of The Keeper, and the amount of fightscenes and action of A Dangerous Man, then the film will be really good

We know the plot, so it's not that we dont know anything at all. But yeah we dont know anything about the scenes. The film is still in Pre production.
Yeah and Black Dawn wasn't exactly a movie I would have bought if I had read a review first. It really sucked big time.

Personally i think it sounds pretty much like the rest of his recent DTV movies. Was hoping that he would maybe get a support role for a cinema movie or something like that. :(

I agree, I would prefer to see 30 mins of Seagal in a supporting role in a big budget cinema release than another 90 mins of DTV Seagal nonsense.

Yeah me to, but I dont think we should expect to see more of him in the cinema.
I think there is still the possibility of supporting roles. After all he still has a reasonable following and is still well known.

Would like to see him in something different instead of CIA, ex-Special Forces, Police role. Don't know how many times they can re-do the same basic story. Even look at Van Damme, he has various different characters. Essentially Steven Seagal plays the same role in every movie. Give us a Universal Soldier or Replicant for example...

Another good point, after all last year's Machete proved that Seagal is still a big enough star to be cast as a bad guy in a cinematic release. While some of the things Seagal is famous for were there, the sword fighting for example, what it also showed was that he had some skill in not only playing against type as a bad guy but that he was also willing to do a film where he not only died on screen but was of a more comedic nature. This paid of with Machete as what was initially an even smaller role was expanded during filming by director Robert Rodriguez who was so taken by Seagal's performance.

I think Seagal needs to keep this open mind with whatever scripts he is sent. As you say Craig there are so many genres that Seagal has not touched upon in any big way that could really open up possibilities on screen for him. I also think he needs to consider that life is really too short to be holding grudges. The Expendables 2 (2012) is filming now with a plethora of action stars but again no Seagal. I realize that he has had issues with Avi Lerner in the past, however Lerner himself has obviously let them go and I think it is time for Segal to do the same. After all while Machete had a healthy worldwide gross of $37.6m, The Expendables (2010) pulled in a huge $274.4m. Based on this it is clear that with a film such as that, Seagal would not only earn more money himself but an even wider audience would be opened back up to him.

I hear what people are saying and iam just grateful that he still wants to make movies i was beginning to be an 'doubting thomas' at one stage thinking he had thrown in the towel and he was done ..BUT they is an light at the end of the tunnel and wether he makes movies for cinema or TV he still has my vote ..:)

True. If he was to do another cinematic release as a bad guy, I would like to see him in an surporting role in Karate Kid 2 remake, fighting Jackie Chan. I have givin' up hope for Seagal in The Expendables, since Avi Lerner is at the production tables on The Expendables movies.

Another way that Seagal could find a path back to cinemas is by returning with Julius Nasso.

Here is some interesting discussion on that topic:

I think we should just be glad he is still making action movies.
Exactly, but it dosen't hurt to take it up a notch or two, does it ;) But I think in due time he will return with another Big Screen film, he just needs the right script and the right producer. :)
