That's literally the most generic Steven Seagal DTV plot they could have come up with.
It has it all, Seagal playing an ex-something or other with a dark past, he has to go against the chinese triads/eastern european mafia, has to save a little girl etc. etc.
I'm guessing Seagal will also be wearing a leather jacket in all of his scenes and he has a 19-year old supermodel for a girlfriend.
The plot also seems to set up a large part of the movie to be headlined by this Sam character, meaning Steven can put his usual 4-hours a day effort. Most of the time he will be standing in the shadows or sitting by a table or in a car, there's going to be a couple of quick fight scenes, mostly done by his stunt double, some explosions and a badly filmed car chase.
So in other words, another boring, virtually unwatchable garbage product like Maximum Conviction.
He gets offered EX3 and he chooses this instead, the same thing he's done 20 times before.
He clearly doesn't want to step outside his comfort zone.
I can't blame him for doing these movies for the quick paychecks, but it's obvious that he does not care one bit for his fans or the product he puts out.
I'll be waiting until this hits Netflix so I can fast forward it through.
