Butchart Gardens is a really amazing place. I don't know how big it is, but it takes about an hour and a half to walk through it all.
The gardens were created on the site of an old, disused gravel quarry. So what had been a horrible blight on the landscape was transformed into a stunningly beautiful garden. The woman who created it was the wife of the owner of the quarry.
There are hundreds if not thousands of different kinds of flowers, ornamental trees and grasses, and ponds and fountains. There is also a band stand for concerts and in the winter, there is an ice rink where you can skate under the stars.

Just wanted to say hi! before the weekend. The weather is more rain and actualy cool at night. Yeaterday we had hail in the middle of the day. I have never seen weather like this. Hope you are cooling down. I am making Indian Spice Chai Tea good and strong letting it cool real slow then putting it in an ice bath. I hope that cools things down for you.

Well this is a almost daily weather chat we have. It has rained in my area almost everyday. I have had to change my lawn mowing routine because it is always raining on my regular lawn mowing day. Big problems not really. I am enjoying my conversations with you.
