Thanks for the welcome. :)

Well, I don't know what links this company can have with Warner Bros. What I've written here is the information they gave me, how is the way they do things, I can't know.
I hope it's a good edition with good video and audio quality, it's the only thing that matters to me. :D

I have some Spanish blu-rays of titles that haven´t been released yet on blu-ray and they all look awful. Lots of Spanish blu-ray releases are not legal releases as well.

So I presume that the upcoming Spanish blu-ray of "On Deadly Ground" won´t look very good as well.

If you want "On deadly Ground" in a great quality, you have to wait until Warner Archive will release this movie on blu-ray in the States.

The screenshots I left in the first message of the post are captures of the same Blu-ray that will go on sale in Spain, for me they look pretty good.
That said, I just wanted to write the news here because I thought that maybe they might be interested in buying the movie, it is true that many junk editions are published in Spain, but I think the On Deadly Ground edition will be a good edition.

The blu-ray has also German sound. Therefore the blu-ray can´t be legal. I guess it´s not real HD, probably only an upscale.

I will buy my copy, with little it will be better than my old dvd.
If everyone wants, once I have my copy at home, I can upload a fragment of the video here so that all of you can see it, and thus get out of doubt. :)

Why cann't it be legal? loads of countries do dubbing in it's own language. Go to a cinema in Germany and you will hear only german, no original sound. Same for spain (i think), france etc.

And many times a release is made for several countries with the different languages (you only need one pressing).

So it still could be legit.

Warner's spanish DvD from the film also brings the languages in spanish, english and german, similar to this new edition on Blu-ray that will be released in a few weeks. You can watch it on the same DvD cover:

I own many Spanish blu-rays and lots of them are illegal and have also a crappy picture quality.

Do you really think that this Spanish company get their master from Warner?

No way!!!

I'm also from Spain and can't wait for this bluray to release. Maybe they just got confused between deutsch which means german in german and dutch, in that case that wouldn't be very professional.

It's the middle of October now...what's the story with the 'On Deadly Ground' Blu ray?
Did you get one?
According to the one review....they say 'save your money'..it's not HD...

Not surprising because it´s an illegal disc. But wait for other reviews because it could be that the quality is on par with a HD streaming website(ITunes etc.).

If you want this movie in a great quality, you have to wait until Warner Archives will release it in the states. The same with "Fire Down Below" and "The Glimmer Man".

I read about 'The Patriot' Blu ray here...saying that they returned it due to no English audio...but I was wondering if it actually was 1080 quality or just an up scaled version, which I'm pretty sure that's all this 'On Deadly Ground' Blu ray is/was.
I'm happy with the 1280x720 versions of the 3....they look fine full screen(maybe not if you are watching on a 50+ inch TV/monitor.

I have bought the Blu-ray of "On Deadly Ground", and I am happy with the purchase, it surpasses in quality of video and audio to the old DvD of Warner.
Some friends who understand all this more than me, have me that the video belongs to a 1080p capture that was made from Amazon Prime Spain.

If I understand this correctly.....you are saying that Amazon Prime(Spain) streams it in 1920x1080?
can you post a few sceen shots or better....or upload the bluray?

I do not understand much of this... It is what a friend has told me. I have not seen that version in 1280x720 that you say, here in Spain the best thing that had come out of the film so far was the old Warner DVD. This new Blu-ray outperforms Warner DVD in video and audio quality, so I'm happy with the purchase. Sorry if I don't express myself well, I don't speak English, I help myself with a translator.
