I know the film got a VERY limited release in the USA, is there any word on how much money it made? I assume maybe literally five people saw it in cinemas. I watched through bits of it again, and I just wonder if Seagal and others involved managed to get a few more pennies spent on it and the film makers really put the effort in and pushed the movie as best they could, then maybe films like this could turn out really solid and even get a wider cinema release, get Seagal back on the map so to speak. It'll never happen of course, but I feel his career is now coming to an end and it's just a shame it's gonna end on a whimper :(

US DVD release was set for January 14, but Amazon originally moved the date back to January 24, and since has moved it further back to January 30. Amazon and several other sites now show it as on backorder. UPDATE: after ordering the DVD through a local Wal-Mart, only to have the order cancelled because it was "out of stock", found it for sale at a Wal-Mart in a nearby small town - both DVD and Blu-Ray were available.

I watched Beyond The Law last week and I must say it's a very decent B action/thriller. It's nothing new, but I didn't lose my interest while watching. I liked the actors and especialy the bad guy (Seagal's son in the movie). Seagal delivers his lines with more emotion (like in Gutshot Straight for example). Sad he didn't have much to do, but overall a very decent action thriller. I liked it.
