Not positive indeed, but I have to say that this reviewer is a Seagal hater and that he is not objective towards the movie...

The movie isn't even released yet. How could he have seen it ??

Moviecritics and moviejournalist often get previewcopies of movies to review them in the hope to get positive reviews and boost sales.

These are also usually the copies that get around on the net before official releases.

So it's possible he has seen a copy.

Peace

I watched it as well. Me personally I thought The director did fairly good on this one a lot better than force of execution. I felt as it the story actually made a lot of sense & me personally it kept me interested even when other actors were on the screen they were still fairly interesting. I thought the action was actually really good seagal had a couple of moments where he had a bad add fight scene & as well as adding a little humor to the movie seagal made me laugh a few times with some of the smart ass remarks he has in the film which i thought was really a step up. Victor web wasn't bad at all. & Seagal kinda seemed like he liked doing this movie he didn't seem that lazy or carefree when he talked he had a lot of moments where you could tell he was into it & also moving extremely fast when in shootouts or fighting. I honestly loved this movie because there was also no dubbing its all seagal %100 of the way!! One thing that gets me excited is waxman said absolution is darker & better than this one well if his words are right then its going to be one hell of a movie because this one wasnt half bad at all definitely going to watch it a few more times :)

It's little wonder these DTV releases get smaller and smaller budgets, when even his fans bootleg his stuff. Why not just wait til it's released?

Can you write a review?

Questions:

How is the movie compared to his other dtv's?
Is there a lot of action?
Stevens performance, voice dubbing?
One liners?

1.Its his best Romanian set film but i prefered MC and FOE simply because prefer US based films rather than Eastern Europe
2.There is alot of action mostly in the last 30 Mins....first 45 Mins is alot of story(but there is some action)
3.There is no dubbing and more Seagal in this than the last 2 films....he looks bored/interested depending on what scene it is
4.No real one liners....also i was not impressed with Victor Webster and i would have prefered it if they had used Bren Foster...this is a prequal of FOE after all

And how is the story? Does it make you care for the characters?

The story is easy to follow but like all his Romania films its the support cast that arnt great...its why i prefer his US based films as you get better casts generally

Ill still buy it when its comes out but after FOF I made a case that I would always watch before buying

I saved money that way not buying KS and ATD which did not deserve anyone spending money on them by anyone to be honest

But it's a vicious circle that can have a knock on effect for future movies?

Example:
If everybody did likewise and downloaded KILLSWITCH, we might never have got DRIVEN TO KILL.
The "Oh I'm going to buy it anyway" excuse is killing lower-budget movies. Maybe AGAINST THE DARK or KILL SWITCH may have turned out better, if so many others hadn't downloaded PISTOL WHIPPED or URBAN JUSTICE before them?

Downloading is wrong. It's killing the industry, and it'll be smaller movies that suffer first. Regardless of what you thought of KS or ATD, you should have bought them in the first place. The fact that you opted out of buying them (because you watched an illegal download beforehand) sort of proves my point...Don't you think?

What would you do, if downloads didn't exist...It's not like you'd have to wait too long for the actual release of A GOOD MAN anyhow?

Maybe we should open a new thread to discuss this. Please keep this thread pure for the reviews...

I dont believe that....KS and ATD would have been bad wether or not people bought/downloaded UJ and PW.

KS was done by Nu Image and ruined in Post Production even if UJ/PW made loads in DVD sales they would still have ruined it in Post

Like I said I have ordered AGM and it will arrive at the end of August and TBH I trust Waxman/Voltage more than previous people that Seagal has worked with and I will probably just buy Absolution without watching it online first.
