A piece of trivia on Seagal films.

According to IMDB, 8 cast members from "Under Siege" went on to make "The Fugitive" in 1993, and at least 3 of those same cast members were in "Above the Law".

All of these movies were directed by Andrew Davis.

The director has alot to do with it...

Some of the cast from Romeo Must Die were in Exit Wounds, and later in Cradle 2 the Grave.

Thanks for that trivia Res.Dog. Very interesting.

The cast of Cradle 2 the Grave was almost exactly the same as Exit Wounds, but no Seagal. That movie could have been really good if Seagal was in it.

Actually, that movie was designed for someone like Jet Li...

Can you imagine Seagal on wires? Like I said, wires aren't for Seagal. He can't make that look as good as Jet does. I don't see how Seagal could've duplicated that scene against the UFC fighters all going at him at once...

"exit wounds" wasnt supposed to lead anywhere

From what I have read, WB wanted Seagal back on top, and they asked Joel Silver for a favor. Silver worked with Seagal on "Executive Decision", and he is a big name. So Silver came through and it was a big hit, but Seagal went off and made HPD and everything went down the drain.

But Silver wasn't involved with HPD...

... Silver MADE Seagal shape up for EW... nobody told Seagal what to do since...

I know. But Seagal couldnt have gotten "Cradle 2 the Grave" if he wanted to. Silver had no obligation to keep casting him.

oh ok I see what you mean...

... but maybe at that point Silver was still deciding on whether he should do a sequel to EW with Seagal which would result in a time conflict with the Cradle 2 the Grave shooting ... (anyways, has anyone read The Honour Farm - EW sequel - does it bear resemblence at all to Cradle 2 The Grave? ... made me think...)
