In these times of "us-critics" i just wanna say something to all americans (btw: im not american, im just a swiss boy that loves the united states):

Don't listen to all of this crappy news reporters and so on. You're living in a great country, i was 12 times there and with my new greencard i want to come more often to the usa. I have a lot of friends there and its just a great country.

Even when there a lot of people thinking about the us plays world police. Its necessairy. Someone has to do the good things, and i believe that the usa is the right country to make this big decisions.

I visited every corner in the states, and it doesn't matter if san diego or crawford, its simply a terrific country with great people. (i personally loved crawford a lot, you can guess why? ;)

Go on yankee's, i love you all. God bless America! Don't get to liberal and don't get to near to Europe, because the thing that makes you special, is that if i go to america, im going to another world. Everything is different, and thats exactly the point.

So, sorry, but i had to say this... Now im finished, oh now i forgot something, please don't vote for the democrats 2008, ok?

Over and out.
Andre

Couldn't agree more, I visited Florida a few years ago and the serivce and people were great. US has the best service iunustry in the world, bar Italy. I'm from the UK and service is diabolical when you go to most restaraunts.

What I will say though that despute the service, the food was mostly rubbish. It's fries with everyhting, massive plates that give you a coronry everytime you eat. Now I'm a championship eater I can tell you but I didn't once finish a meal when I was there. I don;t think the USA has much in the way of good national food. They gave the world fried chicken and beefburgers. Like Britain too which is full english breakfasts, fish and chips. It's nice stuff but that is also crapp! The best food and restaurants in Britain and the US, are run by foreigners.

Now Italy on the other hand was the best place for food, absolutely glorious. I loved it, everything was fresh, most importantly it wasn't bad for you. I odn;t think they have deep friers in Italy yet, or microwaves. It's also funny that in Italy they barely have any supermarkets, or fast food chains. Italians would be extremely healthy if the didn;'t smoke such a lot and drink a lot. Most of their stuff is also from local produce. I never had a bad meal in the 4 times i've been to Italy, not even close. If I had to be honest when I went to Florida i never had a good meal (I don;t call burger with chips a good meal really), cause all the restauraunts were American themed and American run. Anyone who's had a pasta dish in the states and from Italia will know what I mean. New York I know is famous for having fantastic food, but how many of those restaurants are American run? I htink it's no surpse that England and the USA are a naiton of lardbuckets when you look at their food industry (fast food, takeaways, supermarket produce is days old by the time it arrives on the shop floor). The obesity rate in Italy is quite low and I rarely saw any big fat heffas. I seriously think that for food America is the worst place in the world.

PS, I was in America for 5 days and I kid you not this is the list of vegetables I had while there. I think they must be allergic to green veg over there. Anyway I invite anyone to prove me wrong.

Potatoes (chopped and deep fried!)
Onions (fried)
Lettuce, tomatoe (In a Burger)
...... er that's it!

I must also say that soft drinks and crisps (chips) etc all came in much bigger packets than anywhere else I've been. The kind of handy sized, one person bottle of soda from America was 700ml, while in the UK it's 500ml (which is still too much, loaded with sugar) However what I will also say is that despite a staple diet of strakss ,burgers, and variouis other health hazards, while I was there, because it was so hotr, and I wlaked everywhere, I lost half a stone. I'd go back for sure, but I'd like to expand to different areas.

Supertom next trip try the restaurants with buffet bars such as Ryan's, they have the food you like. You pick what you want to eat, they have meat bar, veggie bar, salad bar, etc, etc. I eat low carb, so this is the type of place I go when I go out.

Hofmae, I'm from the US and I think we get to involved with the politics in other countries. We need to stay out of the business, of other countries and take care of are own. We have people living in the streets. The people hurt by Hurricane Katrina are still living in uncertain conditions. We have 11 million illegals rom Mexico in our country Bush (republican)wants to legalize. They will not have to do what others must do to become American Citizens, this is not right. At this time our country is going down hill on a steep slope. We need a very good person to oversee our country and that person is not democrat or republican. We need God back in our country and the Democrats are trying to take him out of our lives. This is only my openion.

I live in the U.S. and I think you're fortunate to live in a country that bothers to take care of the majority of its people. All republicans care about is protecting special-interest groups and big corporations. Middle-class workers, who basically keep the country going, are suffering.

Yes i agree with that, Bush should more focus on the problems inside his country, thats right... I also agree with your last words... I personally have always a problem with the democrats... I think the just don't fit into america.

Thanks Craig. There is a legacy, but nothing compared to what happened. I'm sure you remember how it was back then. I have since found out there was a lot of serious negligence by alleged professionals.

This is a message to americans thread yes? I have just one q..........

Can we have your country back? The money and power would be nice!:D

The money and power is only allocated to a few, not all.:(
