I doubt we'll see any more releases from Steven this year (if at all?)
Personally, I think he's done with headlining films nowadays? The budgets seem to getting lower and lower (plus I don't think neither he, or Steamroller have the time or inclination to secure funding anymore?) Nowadays he seems more content to attend seminars and partake in Russian envoy duties (which are probably in all likelihood, more profitable for him?)
At very least during the mid 2000's, you could keep tally of his DTV sales....primarily because they existed on physical media and sold in accordance to charts.
Downloading/streaming has really put a nasty dent in the DTV market (and the 365Flix 'fiasco' didn't help matters either) leading to his last few releases being stuck in distribution limbo (China Salesman, Attrition, etc) and it's unlikely that General Commander will buck this trend (largely due to the fact that it's not exactly a masterpiece, and at best, cobbled together from an aborted TV show)
Half the general public probably assume he's either retired (or dead) and the other half have likely gave up on him (due to more than a few duff releases) leaving it solely to the die-hard fans to prop up his career (and sadly, I don't there's enough of us to warrant or even co- fund the future of these movies anymore...however low the budgets?)
Just a shame he's accepting supporting roles in low-budget stuff, instead of looking towards more mainstream releases....he could easily see out his career as a big boss type in some Fast & Furious / Expendable style movie (or something similar?)
The problem (as always) is Seagal.
(not trying to be negative, just realistic)
