Accupuncture

Well, I am very happy about my foray into Acupuncture...it has proved to be a very eye opening experience.

One disheartening thing, the cost.

I have several medical issues, including seizures, and my body was responding favorably...

However, found out today that the cost for my COMPLETE treatment (65 visits and herbal medicine) would be $6800

Doctor is confident that he could get me off of my medications and switch me to herbal medicine, which sounds wonderful....

BUT, here in America, there is just too much money to be made off of "sick" individuals like myself.....so I am stuck with "Western" medicine that treats only "symptoms" for now

I urge anyone with the means that has health concerns to try Acupuncture....and if I am ever able to...I would SOOOO do the complete course of treatment....I would love nothing more than to be off my very sedating medications and have my life back....

Herbology and Accupucture is exspensive, and is not covered by most health insurance. It cost me $75 per treatment...but I had a very good doctor and was well worth it...

I hear you hon...I have been taking it day by day too....what is sad is that it is too bad that Acupunture is NOT treated as a valid way to address medical issues, and not covered by most insurances....I have been having a great response to it....if I ever have the means..I will do the full 6-7 month treatment course....

Hang in there girls.... Praying for you all! Maybe you can look into a vegetarian diet, and try to cut out yeast and sugar. Actually yeast feeds on sugar in order to verment (here I go...back into cooking mode) Alot of todays breads and rolls are not good for us at all. They add more gluten to stretch the product. There is nothing worse that eating a sandwich and having the bread stick to you teeth...YUCK! This is one reason why I started making my own. I know what's in it! Well in order to stay on track...keep going to you Accu appointments as long as you can; they work. Have you tried a Chiro and/or seen an herbologist yet?

I was able to find an Acupuncture Clinic here in RI that does appointments on a sliding scale....so I will be able to continue my Acupunture for now....
what I really liked about where I was going was that he is an Acupuncturist/MD.....but I am happy I will be able to continue treatments for the time being :)
