For a Seagal movie I'd say moving fast is a good thing. I think the only thing OOR lacked was more fight scenes. I just watched it again with my parents and didn't really mind the voice overs anymore and I only had to watch it 5-6 times.

Ye it really did lack the fight scenes, I wish it had more but I did enjoy the fight scenes that were there.

I've said this before, I'd rather see less fight scenes in a Seagal movie that have him doing the work, then more fight scenes that have a visable stunt double. I really liked OOR, my dad thought it was really good to.

Refined, not diminished, with age, August 9, 2004
Reviewer: Astreaus "astreaus" (California) - See all my reviews Despite all the criticism of Seagal's recent films, I think he has found and acceptable and entertaining standard to maintain his iconic status and his unique genre of film. Like him or not, Seagal is one of a kind, and he doesn't have the pretense of being anything other than he is; a great martial artist, a decent actor, a good storyteller, and a survivor. Age has refined rather than diminished him. I always look forward to his work, and rather than looking for every flaw in his films, I only ask myself if I enjoyed it, and Out of Reach is highly enjoyable, with an interesting ambience, good chemistry between the actors, and of course, the element that is the foundation of a seagal film, action sequences done as only seagal could, impressive as always.

I agree with that too but the problem with the fight sequences in Out Of Reach is that they were short, and slow with nothing really going on but the double was still used. The fight sequences in Belly of The Beast were alot better and i think Seagal did more in those fight sequences than he did in Out Of Reach. Belly of the beast is the best DTV film he's done so far.

True but seeing an obvios double for Seagal doing fights and seeing a computer animated Seagal look alike doing a jump spin hook kick is just sad and unworthy of watching in my opinion.

"Watch the movie a lil more closley and you will see in the fight scenes."

No I am talking about Belly Of The Beast. When his double does that jump spin hook kick etc.. that is computer animated.

Well, lol I wouldn't say that's worse...

... now imagine if Seagal himself was animated while doing some stunt... That would be an ultimate low point ... even worse imo than just having a double.

Lets also hope he doesn't use anymore doubles for his fight scenes..
I find that very unlikely, he isn't going to get younger with time. I don't mind some dubbling, but not noticable like in BOTB. Exit Wounds was a perfect example of how they can hide the double, and still have Seagal doing most of the work.

Comparing to EW?

But Exit Wounds had what kind of budget? EW was not a DTV so it must've been good, and Joel Silver doesn't like mistakes (the reason for the delay in releasing the movie) so he had an excellent crew working on the movie.

LOL, in the beginning of the movie when the truck runs over the two police officers on the motorcycle you can clearly see one of them is a dummy it was so badly shot, you saw the arm and it basically was handmade arm that looked like what the muppets are made out of.

During the car chase scene there where several shots where you could tell it was clearly not Detroit. They drove by a Tim Hortons for god sakes.
