the birds had I unfortunately to deliver because of an allergy.

Greeting Daniela :)
What a pity. I'm happy not being allergic to animals. I can't bear living without animals. :)

Last evening I found a newborn kitten-complete with
cord still attached laying out back by the bunkhouse
meowing its head off...called the Arizona humane
society about 630pm & guy said they would be out in a
bout an hour...we called back 3 more times & the lady
finally got there at 910pm..she had been told it was
an CAT!
Meanwhile I wrapped it in a towel & cut the lid off a
small box & layed it in there...We took turns sitting outside
keeping an eye on it almost two hours.

Ohhh it was so sweet of you Amos. You've got a big heart with kitties.
I hope you hadn't too much kat hair on you. ;) :D

Hello i must tell you my news i had to take my lovely dog jake he is a king charles spaniel to the vets as they found a very nasty tumour in his anal gland and they thought it was cancerous . I took him to see a specialist in london on the 6/4/05 he had to have full body ex rays it took all day i was a nervous wreck but they said that they couldnt find eney more cancer cells i made a complete fool of myself by bursting into tears it was such a relief . But he has to have 4 seasions of kemo therapy on his anal gland aria just in case they missed eneything and this will kill of eneything that they might have missed and he will have to have check ups every month for six months i was so scared that i was going to lose him he is my best friend and companion and i love him so much his treatment is very expensive but you cant put a price on the life of someone you love .god bless . sheila.
Oh, i'm happy that your dog is finally fine. It's always so hard to wait the final verdict of the vet.In your case it seems that you can breath and that you'll enjoy the life with your friend during a long time.
I hope your dos is better.
Best wishes to both of you.

More animals in the news. :)

1) (Heather, this one's for you! :)) A 10-day-old male orangutan named Nias drinks milk from a bottle at Taman Safari in Prigen, East Java, April 3, 2005. Wild populations of orangutans are found only in the tropical forests on the islands of Borneo and Sumatra and all populations are under severe threat from habitat loss, illegal logging, fires and poaching. Picture taken April 3, 2005.

2) A wild duck, a brown mallard, nests on a mulch pile near the main entrance to the Department of the Treasury on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington Friday, April 8, 2005. The Secret Service Uniformed Division has set up metal guards to protect the mother duck and her nine eggs, and the duck has been provided with a water bowl.

3) Gordon Setter 'Ceasar' gets shampoo rinsed off by its owner in Germany's first ''Dog Wash'' facilities in Hamburg, northern Germany, Thursday, April 7, 2005. The services at the ''Dog Wash'' are available at prices between 4.90 Euro and 9.9. Euro (between US$6.33 and US$12.75).

4) Lunch crowd : Giraffes eat fruits and vegetables at the zoological Serengeti Park near the northern city of Hodenhagen. April 6, 2006.

In former times it was still worse. There I was also still against hares and cats allergy.
But the worst comes now in the summer again with the pollen.

Yes i know what you mean. At home eveybody is allergic to pollen or fur (except me). So they were always pissed at this period (big nose, eyes always crying, tickling...). I'm happy not being allergic.

yes it's always difficult to help a wild baby animal 'cos' you know that if you wanna help the animal you risk to put your smell on it and then the mother won't take care of her baby anymore. Hard choice.

Hello everyone have had an exhausting and emotional day today. I took my dog jake to have his first treatment of radiotherapy today it is a very big hospital they treat all kinds of animals who are suffering from cancer .They put a catheter in his leg to give him an anesthetic but they didn't give him enough as he started to wake up halfway through the radiotherapy so they had to give him more .it took about half an hour i was scared for him when they finally brought him out i heard him crying he was frightened as he didn't know where he was i rushed into him thinking something was wrong but the specialist said that jakes mouth had started working before his brain had woken up .jake came round very quickly he always does its because he has had so many operations that he has got used to having the anesthetic got him home all he was interested in was getting his dinner as i couldn't give him eney food this morning and kept giving me dirty looks but once he was fed and watered he was fine i have to take him for 3 more sessions for the next 3 weeks he didn't know where he was going today so he wasn't to bad i dread next week but he will have to go kicking and screaming if nesecary he is a complete ham and loves to be the centre of attention but if he doesn't have the treatment the cancer could come back i will just have to blindfold him if nesecary he has bene shaved once again he looks like a patchwork quilt bald in quite a few places and knowing him he will probably go bald i wonder can you buy wigs for dogs .god bless. sheila
