No dubbing occurs when the movie is completed and they sometimes change the plot or script. They do not get Steven Seagal back to re-shoot or re-record!
We have also seen dubbing in the past when you can clearly see Steven Seagal saying the same words.

Many of his DTV releases have dubbing, some don't even sound like him too.

'Most' films spend some time in post production. This involves not only the editing and scoring, but actors returning to dub scenes where, for various reasons, the sound was poor.

The fact that Seagal did not involve himself in post producton work says a lot about the budget and his committment to the project.

The dubbed voice sounds nothing like Seagal and, in part, destoys the whole picture.

The first time I saw this movie I was confused as I thought originally the different voice came from another character off camera. Add to this a story that is rather chaotic at the beginning and confusion is bound to ensue.

Like his film Kill Switch, Attach Force was one where there was little concern about what transpired. If you understand the end of Kill Switch be sure to contact the Guiness Book of Records to let them know as you are the only one who does.

Like the others have said, ADR (automated dialogue replacement) is common in most movies: lines may be rewritten, or the filmmakers realize that the mics didn't pick some dialogue up well enough, or the director wants some lines delivered in a different way than they were given on-set... In "Seagalogy," the author cites an interview with writer Joe Halpin, who claims that the entire premise of the film was changed during post production, which explains the sheer amount of ADR in this one.

Why is Seagal not doing re-dubbing his own lines? That's one of the big questions for his DTV career. Maybe he refused, maybe he wasn't asked. In the same chapter of "Seagalogy," Joe Halpin claims that Seagal was "disappointed" with the movie and wasn't aware of the extent of the changes to the storyline, so I'm going to guess he wasn't asked back in this case.

ATTACK FORCE was originally meant to feature Aliens (and was probably filmed as such) As it is, you can understand that such a drastic change would involve some serious 'tinkering'....hence the dubbing and (generally) confusing plot.

Seagal was involved as a producer on this film so he should have been well aware of what was going on.

It's sad to think he cares so little for the finished product that he couldn't be bothered 'fixing up' the areas that needed dubbing.

Let me get bakc to Kill Switch, he was involve din production of that and in that sad mess of a movie the end had absolutely nothing to do with the plot line and the film used at the end wa sof a different grade and lighting.
