Plot:
Steven Seagal (Shadow Man, Black Dawn) is back in this high-octane, action thriller! When MARSHALL LAWSON (Seagal) loses his strike-team in a cold-blooded and seemingly random attack, he takes it upon himself to investigate the suspicious circumstances of the brutal killings. Soon he uncovers CTX Majestic, a covert military operation so secret, that now the military wants Marshall eliminated. Resolute in his pursuit, Marshall engages in a merciless battle with a drug dealer operation that appears to be secretly funded by a rogue arm of the military.

'Attack Force' seems to have been mangled badly post-production.. It's a film I can enjoy on quite a few levels but, like 'Ticker', it feels like a real cut-and-paste film patched up to fill the running time with out-takes and stock footage. I can't blame Steven for the way films like this turn out because i'm sure the behind-the-scenes debacles piss him off as well, but it sucks that an original artistic vision is severely compromised by others.

actually you should blame him, the fight scenes which he was in werent affected by post production at all-they were STILL really bad

1. the little punches here and there
2. fight with rena
3. fight with alien queen

all these were shot the way as intended and they all were terrible, nothing can exscuse those

I wanted to know if this was a do over, because at times steven doesn't sound like his voice, and the plot gets kinda mixed up, or is it just me. thanks

Do over? Well I guess you could say that!
Sony took a completed film, that wasn't
very good in the first place, and completely
screwed it up with voice overs and heaven
only knows what else. Anyway, they ended
up with a piece of junk not worth the film
it took to make it!
I wish I could say something good about
the film but I can't!
God bless,
Mama san

BTW: Welcome to the Steven Seagal Unofficial Web Site!
Enjoy!!!

I love this movie. It’s so bad as to be comical.

Right from the first frame the viewer feels a disconnect from what is going on. In the darkness you can barely make out Steven Seagal, but the voice is clearly not his. I guess you could say that in eight of the scenes he did use a ‘voice double’ to carry the load. And just when you thought we’re getting Seagal’s voice, the double would return. The problem is the dubbing wasn’t done by Rich Little, nor did they revive the late Frank Gorshin. It appears they just took some guy off the streets and had him read the lines in a flat, monotone way.

There were problems with the other voices and accents too. The ‘French’ Police Inspector spoke with one of those phony “Bone-jure Mon-sewer” accents. It’s bloody awful.

Are they insulting our intelligence with this film? They don’t think we have any. They give us sometimes subtitles to tell us where the action is and in on of them it says “France, Europe”. I am glad they told me this because I may have thought France was just outside Vegas if they hadn’t.

Seagal could not have liked this film. He apparently arranged so everything was shot in the dark and usually you only see the left side of his face with the right obscured in shadows. Who could blame him? He’s hoping rest of us don’t actually notice he’s in this horrible mess. That plus his ‘body double’ for the fight scenes and ‘voice double’ for the dialogue means his was a minimalist performance.

Now for the storyline. I’d tell you about it, but it doesn’t make much sense. What I understand is that his three dummy ‘crack team’ soldiers go to a 12th rate strip club, pick a 'lady' who is using a drug called CTX and get done in. After that Marshall Lawson (Seagal) goes on the warpath and half the cast stand around talking about what a bad ass he is.

The final showdown involves Seagal fighting a female terrorist. This has all the dramatic impact of two women in a catfight in the parking lot at Burger King. In other words, forget it!

The cover of the video for this film says it has ‘white knuckle action” My knuckles were only white while squeezing the remote control and trying to stop myself from hurling it at the screen. This is well and truly a ghastly experience.
