Well, I am trying to do it here, in case he reads, but some people seem to object...
I understand that it is better to share in person, but since I can't do that, well...
Besides, you of all people must believe in spiritual connections, Chakra...
What I feel is so much more than physical...
To me, physical things should come second, to me after a loving bond is formed...
And physical sharing should be a sincere and honest expression of that love..:)

Lotus,if I were him and if I did by some accident get to read this I'd think you were nuts.(Well, and I do think that at times you are :D)...and I wouldn't even get the heck of the message...To the celebrities we all look the same-stalkers and lunatics.Well, and you see,I'm not gonna be offended if somebody thinks I'm nuts.I'm not gonna deny it.Because I'm nuts indeed! Besides I'm also a troll.:D

Temper Thailand

Hi:

I read the article that was posted about filming difficulties in Thailand. The article was written again by the Nation (a prominent English language newspaper) by Ken Ywin, a man who has a well-documented grudge against Mr. Seagal in Thailand, owing back to the time Mr. Ywin asked Mr. Seagal a rude and inappropriate question in public abbout the New York Jules Nasso case, which was completely irrelevant to the reason Steven had called the press conference. Since then, Mr. Ywin has taken every opportunity to make unfair comments about Mr. Seagal in the press and this is just another example.

The payment dispute Mr. Ywin is referring to involved his friend Dr. Ric Lawes a local Australian living in Thailand trying to promote the film industry here see: www.blackopalcap.com/RicLawes.html

During Belly of the Beast filming, Mr. Seagal was solicited by Ric Lawes to use local film production crews, talent, and resources. Mr. Seagal tried to use local talent when he could but sometimes was blocked by contractual commitments to other companies, as you might imagine. Mr. Lawes then started a rumor that Seagal was "difficult", wouldn't support the local industry, wouldn't pay bills on time, etc. etc., all of which in my opinion is bull. Mr. Lawes then was able to use his influence on Mr. Ywin to get the paper to publish negative press on Seagal. All because Lawes/Ywin didn't profit from Seagal's project here.

So I wouldn't necessarily believe the article that Steven somehow didn't pay his bills.

And another issue that consistently irks me when I read posts that always say like Steven is a "bad ass . . ." this and that, Steven is a Master of Aikido. Anyone who knows anything about Aikido knows it is purely defensive- it is not even a competitive martial art- there are no winners and losers in true Aikido, no matter how it is manipulated to make for exciting movies. From my experience, Steven is a Master precisely because he is not a hot head, he does not lose his cool, he always speaks gently, he treats people gently and with respect and he always displays patience. These traits are necessarily related to his Aikido mastery, and one can speculate whether he had those traits to begin with or he developed them during his training.

Look, I know it's fun and human nature to speculate about a famous person, but all of this nonsense about him throwing temper tantrums is just so off the mark it's not even worth commenting on.

Does anyone really think Steven was able to fake his way to a Seventh Dan level only to be exposed as some uncontrollable prima donna hot head? That just doesn't happen folks.

But of course everyone is entitled to opinions, and I try to see both sides of every issue, but I cannot put aside my strong beliefs on this issue.

Thanks and best to all,

Ed

C'mon,Ed,as for Steven being a bad-ass,you're damn right-it's merely a big speculations of ours based on the image he had created in his early movies.:gun:
I know I just can't be any more serious than this :D

Hi, Ed.

Thank you very much for your explanation regarding Mr. Lawes and Mr. Ywin. If I remember correctly, you may have mentioned something similar in one of your ealier posts.

As I said earlier here, I simply place no stock in rumors. It's not that I'm blindly in love with him or want to ignore the bad things published about him. I'm a fairly intelligent, normally objective person who tries to see both sides of a situation and understands there are always two sides to every story, but usually only one side is published.

I truly enjoyed your post here. It's great to see someone speak highly of Steven Seagal and with the respect that you do, especially referring to him as a true Master of Aikido.

I especially liked this statement of yours: "Does anyone really think Steven was able to fake his way to a Seventh Dan level only to be exposed as some uncontrollable prima donna hot head? That just doesn't happen folks."

Very well said, Ed. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this. :)

bad-ass all the way!

Aikido is a defensive martial art, but Steven Seagal has geniously mastered his own style, which acts more on offense as well as the usual defensive 'routines.' Steven Seagal is a master of Aikido as well as various other forms of martial arts, inluding Kendo/Kenjutsu (which is not just merely a defensive sport). He may not be a big hot-head, but he ain't no Dalai Lama. Steven Seagal is very religious, but he can lose himself when he's really having fun in whatever he's doing, just watch the part of him in the documentary Get Bruce (you'll hear some profanity coming from Seagal, but it is not meant in a bad or rude way). Steven Seagal did not earn his respect in Japan by being calm. It was the exact opposite, as he challenged anybody and everybody to earn him his Master title. Steven Seagal can be quite provocative which requires some degree of temper. Steven Seagal is no DMX in that sort of area, but in the earlier years of his acting career, Steven Seagal was not the most tranquil practitioner, which worked to advance his name and reputation as a Master of Aikido. Now, is a different story as the man has changed, and you can't talk about Steven Seagal saying that he was always the same. One thing worked for him well at one time, another works for him well this time. Steven Seagal is a bad-ass Master!

Thanks, Ed...

Good to hear from someone who may know better...
As you all know, I am extremely sensitive, easily hurt that is, and maybe you didn't know that my mother is a hot head, so of course, I would always prefer to be treated in the way you stated that he behaves...
Of course, some people believe that "a delicate flower" stands no chance in his presence, and no one here is an insider or knows him personally but you, as far as
we know...
But I tend to think that his spiritual beliefs and his MA training foster the respectful, gentleness you speak of, I have seen him display it in movies and it seems that that is his nature, indeed...
And I hope if I ever meet him, that we would get along very well...
I think he probably gives what he gets, and could get defensive at times, can't we all...
But it doesn't make sense that he would do anything less than show you respect and kindness until you have shown you aren't deserving...
Thanks for expressing your thoughts, of course they are most interesting to me, because as you know, I already admire, and think very highly of him...

Gee, Tora, thanks for calling me a nut...

Sigh...
