This was an excerpt from an interview with good ol' weirdo, Billy Bob. :D If you're interested in the rest of the article, here's the link. I only included the reference to Steven's movie.

So why did he do the dopey Steven Seagal action thriller, On Deadly Ground, I ask him? "I did it because I didn’t have any money," he replies candidly. "My wife [his fourth, Pietra Dawn Cherniak] was pregnant with my son Willy at the time and I went and did it.

"The expense of that movie, for me, was five broken ribs, a broken collar bone, a cracked pelvis, concussion and pneumonia."

Seagal plays rough then? "He didn’t hit me, but the horse sure took care of me," he laughs. "I was actually in the delivery room with all these injuries and taking Vicanon for the pain."

On Deadly Ground is not the only film role Thornton has taken for financial reasons. He explains: "People say, ‘But wait a minute, you did Armageddon.’ Yeah, I did, I had to pay off my divorce. But it’s a harmless movie, it’s not like we did something bad. "But it’s not what I would choose to do today. I guess the bottom line is, I’m just trying to get by."

What do you expect to hear Serena?
Of course Billy Bob did it for the money...
Or do you actually thought he did it because Seagal is a great actor?

Silly guy. :D
I actually put it here because I put anything I find in the news relating to Steven. :D
And I certainly don't consider Billy Bob one of the greats of our time, either. ;) :D

But Billy Bob is by far the better actor.
But we don´t go to Seagal´s movies acting wise...
We go there because he beat people up very well especially at the beginning of the 90´s.

But I guess it's all relative, eh? ;) I would never go see a movie just because Billy Bob is in it, but I would Steven. I would never buy a DVD just because Billy Bob is in it, but I would Steven's. And, actually my favorite movies of his are from the mid 1990s and up to about Half Past Dead. And, actually, the fact that he can kick people's ass and break bones is not the number one reason I watch Steven's movies. And I'm not even one of the ladies who is in love with him or worships or adores him. :D Billy Bob is okay, though. I like him mainly because he's an oddball. :D

Half Past Dead is on my very favorite list of movies, I don't think there is one on there that Billy Bob is in!
But I am one of the ladies who adore the man Steven!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was the only thing I liked about On Deadly Ground - the fact that Billy Bob Thornton gets blown to kingdom come! He is the grossest, ugliest man I have ever seen. Shots of him and Anjelina Jolie playing tongue-hockey in public always brought up my last three meals.... bleh.
