CLEMENTINE is a syrupy melodrama that plays like one of those HK films from the mid-80's, lots of 96fps fades, slow tracking shots and hideously overwrought music. The film centres around a sickeningly cute little girl and her father. The script is very soapy and Steven Seagal appears in this film (for a matter of minutes) as a favour to somebody; there can be no other explanation. The climatic fight, featuring Steven in a semi-villainous role, is poorly handled, with an obvious body-double in the long shots.
Yes, Steven is allowed to negate his bad-guy image at the end, but it's not worth it. Tough one to sit through. It's a cameo, no more a Steven Seagal film than PRINCE OF THIEVES is a Sean Connery film.
