(BROWNSVILLE, Texas, March 12th, 2003, 2:30 p.m.) -- A woman and her common-law husband were charged with murder Wednesday after police found the bodies of a decapitated 1-year-old boy and two young siblings in the family's small, run-down apartment.

The children's 23-year-old mother, Angela Camacho, and John Allen Rubio, the 22-year-old father of the youngest child, were being held without bond, according to police Lt. Henry Etheridge.

The 1-year-old's body was found Tuesday night on a bed, and the others were in garbage bags beside it, police in this border town said.

Chief Carlos Garcia said he didn't know the conditions of the two bagged bodies because police were waiting for a search warrant to proceed.

The children had apparently been dead since Monday night, Garcia said. None was older than 5, he said.

Garcia described the one-bedroom apartment as bloody and messy.

"There's clothes, trash, all sorts of things thrown all over," he said. "Very poor, very trashy ... in the worst conditions that anyone could live in the United States."

The bodies were found after a couple walked into the apartment, discovered the bloody scene and flagged down passing police officers, the chief said. They were being interviewed by police.

"It tears my heart. I want to cry. How can people do this?" said Nancy Garcia, 46, who lives nearby and said she grew up in the neighborhood. "There's help out there."

Brownsville is on the Mexican border, about 230 miles south of San Antonio.

This is the worst bit of news that I've ever read. And just to think that it happened a couple cities away from where I used to live. I can't believe what I just read.

You post that you can't believe what you read, yet find it funny to have as your sig, a joke video of a old lady kicking a baby!!!!!

What are you saying?

Just because there is a computer generated image of an occurrence that has never happened, never will happen, or that it is impossible to happen, on my signature (a lady of such old stature to kick a baby (with that height) in the air is most definitely impossible. That's what I found so funny... The impossibility of such a situation, struck me as comical.); does not even compare to a husband and wife DECAPITATING their 3 helpless children!

Do you want me to justify my reasons for finding a world difference between the two?

What did you hope to accomplish by posting what you did?

Brownsville Murder Update
Three children are murdered in Brownsville and police say their parents confessed to the crime. Brownsville Police Chief Carlos Garcia told Newchannel Five that even with 22 years of law enforcement it was hard to see something as gruesome as that scene. He says he saw the one-year-old child at the foot of the bed, decapitated, and didn’t have the courage to look at the other two children. It happened in apartment number 11 at the Imperial Apartments Complex. Garcia says that both parents played a role in decapitating the children and both have been charged with three counts of capital murder. Police tell us they took three knives from the scene but would not give details about how the children were murdered. Garcia says the bodies were washed so there was no blood anywhere. The decapitated but clean bodies are another bizarre twist in this gruesome murder. Police are still investigating all possibilities, including the killings being part of some satanic ritual.

Manloaf,

I think Cookie was just expressing her opinion that she doesn't care for your signature. Although you may find it amusing (however impossible it is) many others may not

How can you say there can be no comparison?

You posted a topic about a terrible thing that happen to 3 children. At the bottom of this post was a video image of an old women kicking a small child.

You say that you have this as your signature, because you think that it is funny, because it could not happen.

All I did was point out the irony of your signature compared to the topic of your post.

I do not expect you to justify anything to me. If you can't see that a post about children being killed, that includes an image of a child being kicked (real or not) is ironic, then ok.
