Damn My Local Video Stores!!!!!!!!

Its Monday 18th August 2003 and I go into town today with the intention of buying "Out For A Kill". I'm in early as I got a lift in with my brother, and I go about the shops first, as I have the intention of going to the gym in the afternoon. I go into HMV first, and there is not a single copy. Ok, so I try Woolworths.....not there either. I then go up to a local department store called Camerons.....no luck. I then piss off way down the town to Video City where there is a poster of the film ..... but no frigging disc or tape. I then, in a final last ditch effort, try ExtraVision.....not a ******* sausage. As you can tell I was pretty pissed off, even more so due to the fact that most of the shops I mentioned had that crap Jean-Claude Van Damme film "Derailed" in stock. (I mean, I like Van Damme but that film was sh*t)

I just thought I would share that rant with you all. Does anybody else have an equally frustrating similar story like this to tell, regarding this elusive video.

MMCK (off to murderlise my fatally incompetent, local Video Store managers!)

MVC didn't know what i was on about and offered me Marked For Death. I said "that's years old" and was greeted by a dumb expression by a miserable ****! I've just watched The Foreigner tonight miles after you lot.

I just love how the video stores have no idea what movie you're talking about when you know when it's due to be released!

lol, movie stores should be run by patient fan boys...lol not to be confuzzled with Arrogent pissy ones which seems to be the norm...why do people who live in their parents basement get so high and mighty? lol

You guys should live in Nottingham :)All the major chains-Virgin,HMV,Blockbuster etc had OFAK well stocked.

I will give a review asap.

It's probably a good thing we're not all getting this movie on the same day. This web site would probably get knocked off the internet with everybody trying to log on their reviews at the same time! :)

Why is it out there before it's out here?

I have no idea.

Now you know what it is like for all us guys in Europe who have to wait ages all the time.At least you only have to wait a day extra :D

I found this review at Amazon. How is it possible to have had one in July? Nice to see a good one, though. - Serena.

"Out for a Kill" is one of the most monumental movies ever made. Steven Seagal is a hero, one of the best action stars ever. As a college professor going South to take care of some bad guys, it's only easy for Seagal to flip and snap people like twigs. Buy this movie right now! It's pure lordage.

Doesn't happen very often that someone else actually gets the movie released before us!

Remember, I got it out of a local video store about a month ago..
I still have ordered the original from amazon.com
I hope to see Belly of the Beast about a month or two before you guys as well..

No bragging now Mike! There seems to be a lot of difference in release times worldwide.

Actually our release times(at least for theatres) is the same as the US..The Out for a Kill tape that i saw a few weeks back was a promotional tape that was copied by the video store and was being rented out..(it is illegal, but not really enforced locally)..

Ha ha. I like the deadpan way you put that. Good luck to you if you can get an early viewing of his latest movies. I mentioned i was shown T3 dvd in another thread. The thing about it was the great quality of it down to the packaging. It's due here on De 1st! (Storm, NOT at all dodgy)
