i saw derailed this morning and i have to say mr van dame is sunk to a low even seagal could not reach...its the worst film ever made..bad acting,bad direction(mr obliwitz looked a god compared to this director),bad script and awful fx(i thought ofak fx were the worst ever done until i saw this)...van dame has no chance of ever making a come back in my view as the one thing seagal as over van damme is screen presence which seagal had even in ofak

no it was first time director i think.......ringo lam did replicant which was quite good for a van damme film although cheap looking

Derailed also looks like a Under Siege 2 rip-off. I think it's only one of two Van Damme movies i haven't seen - the other - Streetfighter.

I thought The Order was quite good. Some good fights in it.

The ending if i remember right wasn't too great though. :(

in films like order and derailed van damme suffers the same problem as seagal...bad directing
if you check look at the directors of those films they are used to making low budget rubbish(the guy who did derailed did shark attack and ive had the bad luck of seeing that film...it has a 4 mil budget it looks like)
also van dammes budgets rarely get above the 15mil mark these days even out for kill is to big budget for van damme and i think both seagal and van damme need to think more carefully before they pick the films they do.just look at how many films seagal is linked to in the last year and yet we would rather he just make one big-budget action film like exit wounds rather than 4 stv crap like ofak

Maybe they should get billions and make something with so much detail like ST the Motion picture and throw seagal in it.

Yeah thats right, Seagal was supposed to have beaten up Kelly Le Brock. I like Seagal, but it is unrealistic to think that he is as saintly as a some people here think he is. Both Seagal and Van Damme have had their fare share of bad press (Seagal more so) so I don't think its fair to dislike Van Damme based solely on his tabloid reputation. He is a human and therefore has made mistakes, just like Seagal. I will give him one thing he comes across as very enthusiastic and amiable in interviews and is not nearly as bad an actor as he is made out to be. He is no more wooden than Stallone or Arnie.

I think people overlook the fact that he has made some pretty entertaining films over the years even if they are far from brain taxing.

Well, I don't know if I believe that Steven beat Kelly up...
But if he did do anything that might explain why the marriage went bad...
However there are a whole lot of reasons it could have gone bad...
I also heard that Kelly cheated on him with some Spa instructor, we have no idea what actually happened, and it's none of my business...
Also there are the rumors about the nanny...
I know Steven isn't a saint, his bad boy image might have some truth to it, you never know...;)
I have all the things I have heard in mind, I am not going to discount them all, nor believe them all, just from hearsay...
No one is perfect, and no one is a total saint...
Steven is just a man, but from what I see, he's a heck of a handsome, exciting and charming man. :D

He's the director of such timeless,unforgettable classics as Shark Attack and Panic.Those films won, like, 12 oscars between them man! :D
