If it means, as J. Lucas said, you can pick up little things you may not have noticed before in a Seagal movie, there's the incentive I was looking for! :D

Sometimes the viewing area can be quite different from DVD to Bluray, like the 'Marked For Death' Bluray/DVD comparison below:

I've been holding back on getting a Blu-Ray machine (mostly a money issue up 'til now), but now that my DVD player is dying a slow, painful death, maybe now's the time to get one instead of a new cheap DVD player. Obviously different prices/quality DVD players available, but you can get one now almost as cheap as the videocassette players went down to -- before they became extinct. LOL

I'm sure I could find the info on this site or online somewhere, but can anyone please put a quick list here of any other Seagal movies on Blu-Ray? Thanks!

Nico/Above the Law
Hard to Kill
Marked for Death
Out for Justice
Under Siege 1 & 2
Exit Wounds
Half Past Dead
Out for a Kill
Belly of the Beast
Out of Reach
Into the Sun
Submerged
Today You Die
Mercenary for Justice
Attack Force
Pistol Whipped
A Dangerous Man
Kill Switch
Driven to Kill
The Keeper
Born to Raise Hell
Maximum Conviction
Force of Execution
True Justice Season 1 (and, soon, Season 2)

Many of these are foreign titles, I've had to order from Japan and Germany to pick many of the non US/UK released titles, but they're all available, and most of the foreign packages come with Making-Of Featurettes in English (all of the German releases)

Needless to say, they all have English language tracks with no fixed foreign subtitles.

You mean ALL of these are on Blu-Ray???
I really AM behind the times. LOL

I can't believe that most of those are foreign titles! Man, you really are a good fan, Sevenyearstorm! Not sure what country you're from, but I wonder if I could get those here in the U.S. without having to order from Europe. If I could, though, I wonder if they would have the making-of featurettes. Something for me to look into anyway.

Since I have all of his movies, except the last few, on DVD, I guess I would start with some of the oldest first. Wish I did have the money to get all of them on Blu-Ray. Damn -- I remember having to buy DVDs to replace some of the early videocassettes. :D

Thanks a lot for taking the time to do that list and for your explanation -- very helpful!

If that filmography screenshot is taken from the blu-ray, you'd think they might updated it since EXIT WOUNDS (he's made about 30+ movies since 2001) I'm guessing Warners have ported all the features from their old DVD release?
There are not enough pixels available for them to display all his movies since then. :D
Pretty sure the above screenshot is from the DVD. ;)

Seems odd that J lucas include that stillshot, if it's from the DVD?

It wouldn't surprise me though, if Warner Bros hadn't updated their filmographies though? :)

Hi Lee.....
I was comparing video quality from the DVD to the Bluray...when I saw the filmography on the DVD for 'Blood On The Moon' and it's missing 'The Glimmerman' in it; I thought it was odd and posted it....
that's all....sorry that it was misleading...
I'll edit and correct it..
John Lucas
PS: The image comparison is not my work either....it was posted in the IMDB for 'Marked For Death'....tho' my comparisons verify it.
MFD is just the biggest 'upgrade' in the way it was presented on Bluray....because there's way more area to view.
I don't see much of a difference in the WB releases...just a bit more area on the left & right for the Blurays.

Ahh, thanks for clearing up. :)
Funny that you mention MFD, as I remember getting the R1 DVD when it first came out, and there's a still from LICENSE TO KILL on the back cover.

This is a scan of my MFD DVD R1....I think it was the 1st Seagal DVD I got...
you mean that image of the 2 tracker trailers?
absolutely not MFD...that's for sure..but
'License To Kill'...the James Bond movie....that would be United Artists...
(I haven't seen many of them, but I have some of the classic Sean Connery ones, 2 disc versions.)
MFD is Fox(20th Century)

Oh yeah...the MFD trailer has that missing 'karate chop to the throat' scene in the store mall.

I'm 99.99% sure that still is from LICENSE TO KILL. Not sure of any other movie with a similar scene?
And it seems I'm not the only one to notice this either?

???Ya got me...:)
it is for sure not from MFD...I don't even think I caught that when I originally go the DVD...
I know the soundtrack was when CD's were 1st coming into the mainstream....
if you bought the cassette of it ,you didn't even get the the 2 songs most notable in the film.
They filled it with all their own hip-hop artists(none of which were used in the film); you had to get the CD version to get the 'John Crow' & 'No Justice' tracks...
I didn't catch all the differences in the trailer either that were mentioned in the IMDB post.
I do know that the 'On Deadly Ground' trailer showed a missing scene from the deleted relationship between Seagal and the Inuit girl(there's also a pic. of the missing fight scene(the Inuit men didn't like the idea of Seagal(forgot his characters name) sleeping with one of their women) in the 'Master of Harmony' magazine.
actually I wouldn't mind seeing 'On Deadly Ground' in Bluray....I think it has some nice imagery and I never thought it was a bad a film as some of the critics that tore it down did.
anyway...back to it...'Exit Wounds'(to me) was a good transfer to Bluray....
'Above The Law' seems to suffer a bit from graininess(darker scenes) that is usually common with older transfers,'Out For Justice', 'Dark Territory' look good too...haven't seen 'Under Siege','Hard To Kill' yet(I'm sure that was the 2st Bluray they put out being WB biggest hit)..I think WB has only done 4 out of the 9 film so far(I don't count 'Executive Decision' as part of the Seagal-type films).

I think that's from 'the Making of Exit Wounds' little feature, isn't it?
It's on The DVD, don't know about the Bluray

I never saw this. It made me happy to see how much fun Seagal had on set.

Never saw this. Exit Wounds B-roll:

Is this on the blu ray?

http://www.videodetective.com/movies/exit-wounds-b-roll/68137
it's one of the video clips in the Amazon section of 'Exit Wounds' also....I believe it's just parts extracted from the 20mt 'Making of' feature that is on the DVD...a reviewer stated that the Blueray had the same special features as the DVD.
Heck; I think it's the only Warner Seagal DVD that had a special feature. Some had trailers but that was it.

I have the EXIT WOUNDS Blu-ray (and the special features are identical to the special features on the DVD release) Whilst the 'making of' shows a few similar sequences, *these* behind the scenes clips are not on any release of EXIT WOUNDS.
It's certainly the first time I've ever seen them.

This looks like last time Seagal actually took 'direction' and actually threw himself into the stunt sequences :(

OK...thanks Lee, I was going to compare them but you saved me the time

and showed up for more than a 1 day shoot...I thought the same thing, also the last time he appeared on a talk show promoting a movie as well, on Leno he even mentioned the original steven-seagl.com site. The movie didn't do too bad on opening either whereas the next one 'Half Past Dead' had empty theaters. I still wonder sometimes why he chose to go that direction when he had chance to still make decent movies.

Really? isn't that the movie that they couldn't even get his name correct.
You sure about that...Seagal promoting a STV movie?
Ok...I think that was the 2009 ' The View' show wasn't it?
I don't think he even promoted 'Absolution' and that got a limited theater run here in the US.
