Apart from Seagal obviously, who are your other favourite tough guy actors, past and present.
To start off I will list mine, in no particular order.
* Clint Eastwood
* Steve McQueen
* Charles Bronson
* Arnold Schwarzenegger
* Lee Marvin
* Sean Connery
* Lee Van Cleef
* Robert Mitchum
* Sylvester Stallone
* Gene Hackman
* Jean-Claude Van Damme
* James Coburn
Out of all those, I would say Eastwood, Bonson and McQueen had the biggest impact on me. For the definition of Hard B*stard check out Eastwood's western directorial debut "High Plains Drifter"(1973). For Bronson check out his underrated 30's set fight drama "Hard Times"(1975) directed by Walter Hill, where at the age of 54, and with an impressive physique for a guy that age, was knocking the utter sh*t out of opponents in bare knuckle streetfights. Finally for McQueen, check out "Bullit"(1968) probably the coolest cop film this side of the original "Dirty Harry". He was also very impressive in "The Getaway"(1972), "Tom Horn"(1979) and in his final film as a skip tracer, "The Hunter"(1980).
