First Concert

Wacky on the Junk
If you want to admit the first concert you ever went to, or the one that you tell people was your first concert, that's fine too. Or, add your favorite, or the most recent. Please share any memory that you associate with it, if you wish!

First ever: Sha-Na-Na. It was at the state fair, I went with my parents and younger brother. I think I was 6 or 7, and I fell asleep.

First one that I tell people about: Tina Turner...the Private Dancer tour...Glen Frey opened. My dad took me...my reward for good grades.

Favorite: AC/DC...the Razor's Edge tour...I ditched school early to go to that one.

Most Recent: Ronnie Milsap. I'm a rock chick through and through, but I do love Ronnie Milsap.

My first ever concert was Helen Cornelious when I was about 5 years old. My grandparents who reared me were very much country music lovers...which over the years would lead to seeing Willie Nelson, Barbara Mandrell, Jim Ed Brown, Ricky Skaggs, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, JR, Dolly Parton, Steve Wariner....and ALOT more.

Favorite show seen: Kermit Ruffins and the Bar-b-que Swingers at Le Bon Ton Roule in New Orleans.....great bluesman.

Best rock show: Rollins Band (yay Henry) at Mississippi Nights in St. Louis....300 person capacity club.

My first concert was KISS in 1983. I liked them since 1979, but I had not the opportunity to see them before 1983 :D. The music was so loud that my ears rang for at least 3 days :(. It was my first concert with them unmasked. I saw them with their masks the first time in 1996, it was probably my favourite concert of them :D

My very first concert

Hmmm...It was Barry Manilow
The Osmonds, The Jackson Five.

My first rock concert was BOB SEGER.
I have been blessed to have seen him
live 3 times......I have seen most of
the greats of my generation!
Aerosmith, The Eagles, The Stones,
Bad Company, REO Speedwagon, etc.
Ahh...those were the days! ;) :D

My first and the unforgettable experience was and will always be the Scorpions concert from the Moment Of Glory tour on March 18,2001...That was the night!!! They performed with the Symphonic orchestra and it was such a blast!Damn sometimes I wish I could go back to that night and I would probably run up to the stage and jump up to the guys...I swear I would :D
The other experience was The Rasmus concert on September 2,2004...my friend and I rocked that night along with the Finnish band...I can't wait for my next experience!

The Eagles where cool kept teasing everyone with witchy woman, and they had oncore after oncore. I really had fun, I started a collection of T-shirts for every concert I had ever been to. I had about 10 T-shirts. And I enjoyed them all :)

Love Always

Smile dammit!
The Jam at St Georges Hall in Bradford. One of best live bands ever who quit at the top,at peak of their success, not waiting to end up like The Stones. The undercard were The Dickies and everyone was spitting on them! It was days of punk and new wave and these things happened:D.

my 1st concert was actually a big summer rock festival in Belgium: The torought-werchter festival. I was 14 years and i wanted to go 'cos' metallica was coming and was the last band to play i was a big fan). The affiche was amazing: levellers, tragically hip, sonic youth, faith no more, lenny kravitz, sepultura.... :)My parents didn't want me to go (of course), "i was too young, it was too dangerous":(, so i tried to trap them:D : we had a plan with another girlfriend (same age) who wanted to go (the week after) to the concert of guns'n'roses (at the same place) but she had the same problem than me. We decided to say that i was sleeping at her place the w-e of my festival and the w-e of her concert she was supposed to sleep at my place and my cousin had to cover us  . So we bought our tickets for the 2 shows thinking that our plan was perfect  . Of course our parents called each others and quickly found out something tricky in our story   . At 1st, they told us that we wouldn't go to any of the show as punition for having lied   . We cried so much and the tickets were so expensive that at the end they accepted to let us go. Furthermore we won a drive :D My father decided to drive us to the show (which was a 3 hours'trip), so we hadn't to book a lift.
After that, i went to all the Belgian summer festival every year:). I even worked in some of them. And of course i started to go to concert everywhere, in other countries and so on.
So it was a happy ending.

My mother always said she could see us coming up the stairs and we could barely walk we were so drunk!

She could not see the stairs from her room she said she could tell how we were walking!

We had to be home at a certain time if we were late she would put on the deadbolt that we did not have a key for so we would have to knock (I ended up doing the same for my boys) but me and my sister would stand an argue a full hour over who had to knock! Like it made a difference!
When we all get together we always tell our little stories about growing up!
Bye

In SPIN magazine he was voted the #1 concert performer beating out Hendrix, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, etc...

You have to see his shows to fully believe what I am saying. He can break out the greatest guitar solo's I have ever heard, spin around 5 times dance like Jame's Brown, do the splits and come back up slide over to the piano and do a beautiful solo, scream so lustfully he could seduce you, hop over to the drums, slide to the trumpet, the saxophone, jump over to the bass, and spin around and stand in front of 60,000 standing cheering people and say, Now You Know No Body Does It Like Me!

Ye he is phenominal! He is so talented! He taught himself how to play over 32 instruments and could play ever single santana and jimi hendrix song at age 8 all without one single lesson!
