Force Of Execution - Reviews

Just finished watching Force Of Execution.

We all know the plot, so we dont have to repeat it.

Characters:

Steven Seagal's is really convincing as the gangster boss Mr Alexander, he does a really good acting job in the movie and has some kickass fight scenes.
Seagal didn't have as much screen time as we could have wanted, but I think that the movie works great anyway.

Bren Foster also does a great job as Mr Alexander's hitman Roman. His acting is good and his fight scenes are awesome. I defenitely see a great future for Foster in the action genere.
The plot of the movie focus alot on Foster's character Roman, and that in my opinion is ok because Foster does a really good job.

Danny Trejo is great as always, this time as the crazy ass Mexican cook who works with Mr Alexanders daughter in an diner.
I would have liked to see Trejo have some more action scenes, but he still does a great job.

Ving Rhames does an ok job as Ice Man, the rival for Mr Alexander. I'm not that big a fan of Ving Rhames, so his character didn't really do it for me.
Rhames has alot of screen time, to bad becouse some of that screen time could have been Seagal's.

Production:

Well, the production seems like (at least to me) to be equal with the producion for The Keeper. I dont see any negativ things with the production.

Action:
Shootouts and stuff like that worked fine, no complaints.

Fight scenes:
Seagal and Foster have some great fight scenes, especialy Foster. There is 1 fight scenes though were I think they messed up a little bit with the camera angle, but that is it. Other than that they worked great. Seagal has 4 fight scenes and Foster has about 5 or 6 fight scenes.

Violence:
I clearly remember Waxman saying the movie would be really violent, this is not the case though. It has some violent scenes yes, but it is not REALLY violent.

Rating:
Rated R.

The movie all in all:
I really like this movie, it has the old school feel to it without a doubt, and the screen time Seagal has is precious. The only thing that bugs me is that I was looking forward to see Seagal beat the hell out of Ving Rhames, sadly that didn't happen.

Hope this review is helpfull to ya'll. :)

I have seen it too an agree with the above apart from Ving Rhames who i thought added alot to the film but i agree the lack of a final showdown was a dissapointment....maybe Rhames wasnt willing to be hammered at the end in a one sided fight

I would have said that this film could have been given a limited release by Anchor Bay like Enemies Closer closer is getting by Lions Gate which is the first time i have thought that about a Seagal film since ITS

Its not the best seagal film since EW has its not really a Seagal film but the Production Values are some of the best in his DTV years

yes its better than TK but then again I am not a big fan of TK which although well made I found to be far to slow

i would say of all Seagals films from 2003-2013 FOE is maybe 3-4 best

not as good has UJ-PW and maybe level with ITS

I know that we're all hardcore 'loyal' fans of Seagal round here (and wouldn't dream of bootlegging his movies) but I'm curious as to how people have seen this movie already?

it can be watched online....a few years ago I would have waited for the DVD release but after 2007 his films got saw bad that i always find a way to watch them first before buying

I will still buy FOE when it comes out like i did with MC,BTRH,DM ETC...but i wont pay good money to watch films like KW,ATD,FOF

Good review Mason! Congratulations. :)
I want to see the movie ASAP, but I only could find ILLEGAL links + torrents :gun:

Judging from your words, it will be better than Maximum Conviction. MC was not completely bad, but it could have been better.

A German release is only ANNOUNCED by the company of KSM, so what I shall do? Waiting for the UK release or not?
I am saying this, since not every R2 release is the same. One example: KILL SWITCH. The UK misses the Making of, the German has it.

For those who have seen the movie: How about voice dubbing and stunt doubles?

A review by someone who hates seagal movies

If you dont like Seagal then i can see why you would hate it

I stand by the fact that its has a good a film has he has made in the last 12 years up there with ITS,PW,UJ etc

he is dubbed once in the first 5 minutes but the dubbing sounds alot like him anyway

he doubled the same has all the other films he has recently

also Seagal has only 25 minutes screen time anyway

for me its a strong DTV action film.....is it has good has taken, die hard type films cource not but i watch films for what they are and this is a(10M,shot in 20 days, seagal movie) and for that is OK

Thanks. Everytime I am afraid the voice dubbing will be something like in Submerged...but I am glad it's not the case.

there is one line which but its dubbed better than Submerged

also there is a line off screen which is dubbed

the dubbing does not effect the film whatsoever

if it did i would hate it like i do with Submerged,OOR,AF

I would place it 4th in STV films behind UJ,PW,ITS and just ahead of BOTB

BOTB has more Seagal but lower production levels
