I like them, but

Much admiration for thespians like Meryl Streep and Jack Nicholson, but i've faced up to it along time ago
There may be great people on film as the aforementioned above, but Steven Seagal is great at what he does on film too
Picture it, Steven Seagal amidst the circle of Chuck Norris, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Wes Snipes, Dolph Lundgren, James Ryan, all surrounding Seagal and ready to strike
Sensei Seagal would use the ol' randori and like a spinning top, repel everyone of these martial artists to the ground

Everyone of those aforementioned actors are great for some specific thing they do, butnot one of them has the multi talents that Steven Seagal emits in his aura to his fans.Philanthropist, musician, actor, martial arts instructor, and eye candy as well to his millions of adoring women fans.

Agreed hal. All other actors with all their muscles and youth cannot surpass Steven Seagal's merits. They just have not lived the life of all of these scripts and stories that they portray in movies. Whereas, Steven Seagal has the 'PROOF' to back up his onscreen personas with his superior real-life resume. Even the bigger guys such as Michael Clark Duncan and 'The Rock' Dwayne Johnson don't come near Steven Seagal's toughness onscreen and in real life.

steeven and halkush,
you are so on the mark! I wonder how many martial arts masters Steven Seagal receives training from aside from aikido in between making films? I love how Steven Seagal has mixed bagua, hsing i, and tai chi chuan in with his aikido in all of his movies. Plus, the kenpo hands in "Urban Justice" during the dessimation of the neo-nazis in the alley scene is so cool and complimentary of Jeff Speakman's kenpo usage in his movies.

You are right Steeven and Halkush:
Steven really IS who he is in the movies, in the sense of his life and training. And that I think is what gives him such presence, and what draws his fans to him.

All boyish actors(reeves, cruise, snipes, damon, and too many more to mention to this list) and wannabe MEN actors with boyish boned framed bodies are rediculous and obvious with their hollywood 'dramatics' they learned from acting classes and with the computerized special effects to juice up their so called 'tinsel town martial knowledge' on screen. The other batch of actors(jackman, lundgren, chan, li, and many more) who attempt the 'tough guy' role are way too overrated as well with their showy movements that they learned from their martial instructors too and they end up wasting alot of film footage to 'look good' in a movie. Seagal uses no-nosense theatrics and evolutionary acting to put the bad guys down permanently in the shortest amount of time. Seagal can act!

Yeah!
Hugh Jackman is one of the most talented if not the most talented of versatile performers in the worl at the moment.
he's up there with the greatest singers, dancers, actors , drama as well as science fiction, you name it.
Had his training in my town of perth Western australia, at the Mt Lawley Scool Of Performing Arts, from an early age trained and returned to Sydney australia from whence he took off to the U.S> and was almost an instant hit for his versatility in a variety of perfomances , I watched him sing and dance in "Oklahoma" 4 years ago and his dancing and singing were operatic style, you can't dub that , his dancing was like a pro, gymnastic/ballet style, you can't use stunt men for that either.

I love Steven seagal and will stay faithful but don't knock such a talented star as Hugh jackman please.!!!
