??????Do you mean the image you want tuse for the background isn't uploading ?
or that it uploaded but doesn't appear as the background?
my background HTML code is like this

background=(then directory & image name here)

and I don't even think the quotes are needed
body brackground/background are probably the same.......I think the "key" is .is that you're missing the = sign.....give that a try and see what happens

well if the image has been uploaded.....and the BACKGROUND command is correct.....it should show up if it's standard HTML coding......have you used backgrounds before?
I mean maybe the site (I have no idea what format or service you have) doesn't support backgrounds...as many sites will not allow MPEG uploads nor Flash or Java uploads.....some sites only allow basis images(JPG's) and text........maybe some sound files....
it all depends.....
if you've used backgrounds before then there's no reason you can't use them now unless there's some kind of limitation(like avatars ) where the image & file size would have some effect.
John
PS: you could also try it with and without the quotations......I notice in your example you used only 1 quotation........either use them both or don't use them at all....give that a try
also see if putting the background image in the MAIN directory helps....it may not be set up to look for images in sub-directories.

I don't understand! :confused:

This is (basically) what you should write...

<html>
<body background="image.jpg">
<p>The rest of the text goes in here...</p>
</body>
</html>

Hope this helps... if not then I don't know.

Wel I found it......

I used the wrong letters.. I use capitals instet(????)of little ones.

That stupid isnt it? Well when you look to much you can`t found it any more.
I can only say look at my site than you see what my background is.

Thanks anyway.
Love Connie :) :) :) :)

I don't know if it's stupid...but it's a fact....it's "case sensitive".....even tho the Win programs will read it whether it's capital or not...........my using the FTP is case sensitive......and if it isn't exact it won't find the graphic or whatever.....
I constantly have to correct this.........due to the one graphics program I use always changes the lettering to capitals when saving.......it's either change the letters in the code....or change the file names.......it can be a pain.....but I don't see anyway around it......it's just the way it is....

Glad you found what was causing it....that's one thing about the PC world.......if you keep at it.....you should eventually find what's causing what......I had problems where I've had to take breaks in between.......go for a walk or something so I didn't go crazy.......but in the end I usually find out what the problem is.....or I just start asking......
Never hurts to ask.....
John
