Thank you. Sounds he has very small role in this movie and Goss & GSP doing most of the action.

I would like to now more of “End of a Gun” instead. :) Did he got a bigger budget for this movie and where does he want to film it?

If you ask Waxman about „End of the Gun” in maybe a couple of weeks, can you ask him if he will film it in Cinemascope 2.35:1? I think it would be great to finally see some of Seagals movies in this format again.

I will do. I am not so familiair with this. What's the benefit of shooting in Cinemascope 2.35:1?

That's the same screenratio that is used in Theatres I believe. It differs a little bit from your TV ratio (16:9 for widescreen).

Peace

Yep there is some news. You are gonna be happy about the aspect ratio @Martin01

New update from Waxman:

Hope you're doing well. Yes, Killing Salazar was shot in 2:35 - looks pretty epic. Shoot was insane and movie is super cool because of it. We are cutting it right now but everyone is very excited - GSP and Seagal have a great fight scene, Darren Scott and GSP have a kick ass fight scene as well. Luke Goss is amazing in it and does some pretty cool action as well - and Florin Piersic Jr. kicks ass as Salazar. All in - solid cast and a really insane action movie. Can't wait for you guys to see this one - it's a throw back to "Max Con" meets "Smokin' Aces". And of course, Seagal kicks major ass in it.
Steven and I have a few projects on the table for the rest of this year and next year. We have two projected for Thailand and "End of a Gun" is coming along - could be soon. I'll keep you posted as things develop.
Check in soon, things are coming together quick.
Peace.

I have an update from Waxman for you guys:

Finally can get back to you on the long promised update on "End of a Gun"...
Today is our final day of shooting in Romania for France... Very different Seagal movie than "Killing Salazar" - this one more like "The Keeper". Steven in suits being chased by cool French bad guys - like an Elmore Leonard story (think "Out of Sight"). Steven and Jade Ewen are a great crime film couple on a double crossing heist. Florin Piersic Jr. from "Killing Salazar" chasing after them. Simple and cool story this time around - should be a lot of fun to put this one together...
I'm doing VFX on "Killing Salazar" now - hoping to release it in the next two months. Worth the wait - Seagal, GSP and Luke Goss kick major ass in the film.
Check in later for more updates.

From Waxman:

I'm not sure why 'Absolution' has not been released in Holland. It's done great in release and we are now kicking around ideas for a sequel. I'll keep you posted.
As for 'End of a Gun' - we are still in post and plan for an April(ish) release. I think the fans will be pretty stoked with this one. Very different and cool. It's a crime noir set in Paris - like I said - very different.
I'm about to start our next Seagal film in about a week. It's set in Mexico and Istanbul and at the moment it's called 'Contract to Kill'. Getting excited about it - Steven's co-star is Russell Wong and we are working with Ron Balicki again so look for some cool knife fights. We've also made a few changes in our approach to the films so I think it'll look very different than EOAG (as well as 'Killing Salazar'). All a good thing.
Again, I'll keep you posted. Good things coming in 2016.
Peace.

I wonder if the recent news about Seagal taking his career back and doing his own films means no more Waxman....which would be a shame for me

Maybe you could contact him Dida and ask about it?

Seagal said very positive words about Waxman in an interview last year. They just made a movie together again and I wouldn't be surprised if they start another one later this year.

However, a lot of the recent films got very bad reviews from fans. Finally "Killing Salazar" looks like it could be the first decent movie since 6 years. At least the trailer looks pretty good.

Waxman told me that he and Steven have a lot of idead for upcoming movies. In between Seagal is just doing other projects. So I guess that once in a while he will team up with Waxman again.

I have enjoyed most of what Seagal/Waxman have done together...its not perfect but its a million times better than Black Dawn or Today You Die etc

I also like the fact he engages with the films about upcoming projects
