Just read a review for INTO THE SUN by VERN (remember him?) he is actually a big fan, but he does tell it as it is.
He says the movie, has a few sword fights in it, but a lot of the action takes place in the latter half. He says it is one of the most 'professional' d-t-v's that SEAGAL has made.
He also mentions a brief love scene.
Even though Vern likes to jape, he is a SEAGAL fan, so if you don't mind knowing the plot, take a look.
I can't wait to see it, i've pre-ordered my copy from amazon.
Let me know what you think?
peace
The thing is, Into the Sun was supposed to be a theatrical release, hence the professionalism, but clearly, once the suits at Warner had a look at it, they decided it wasn't good enough to waste money promoting it.
The A&E Bio, in fact, was filmed probably around the same time as post-production, when it was still slated to be a theatrical release. That's what the A&E Biography was - it was something put together to promote the movie theatrically, not a real "biography", and it served its function to make Steven's fans all warm and fuzzy for him again.
Don't get me wrong - I'm all in favour of reinventing oneself (I do it frequently myself), so I think the A&E Biography did what it set out to do, very successfully, if responses here in the forum are anything to go by.
It's just worrisome that the suits at Warner Bros. decided Into the Sun wasn't good enough for theatrical release, and if they did that to a film where he actually put some effort into making it, what does that hold for us - and him - in the future?
-TD, happy the glass is half-full but wondering about the half that's empty
