Is The Official Message Board Ever Coming Back?

You've probably been asked this a few times already but........

Does anyone here know if the message board over at the official board is ever coming back. It has been out of action since last October and feel that the administrators over there have given up on it and cleared off.

Don't get me wrong, I like this board as well and find it has a pleasent atmosphere but what I liked about the other board was that their was more feed back and I notice that a lot of the other regulars over there like El Toro, DC1975, Orin Boyd, Mr Opinion etc don't post here.

Does anyone have any information as I think it is sad that his officially endorsed site is run so shabbily.

I prefer this site: We get more information here and besides; the best people from that site all came here to this one. Most of the posters that did'nt come here would'nt be able to post here for long anyway because of their childish insults and profanity. I would'nt mind seeing the old site start up again, but only for updates and shopping etc, but keep the message board down for good. It was an embarrassment to any new Seagal fans that might have stumbled onto the site and saw the way that people were being threatened and cussed at because of their opinions or because of some other trivial reason. Moderation at that site was non-existant.
I would never go back to a message board like that. I'm here for good.

It would be nice if the "official" site were up ... but I have to agree about the message board. Too many silly buggers were destroying it - imagine what newcomers thought! It was an insult to Steven.

It wasn't "Steven's" job to moderate that
message board, it was the job of the moderators!
However, we are all aware that they didn't exist
on there or they only showed up whenever they
felt like it! When the "newer moderators" tried to
do the job they were tormented, cussed at and
even threatened. Those mods didn't have the
control that we have here.
Here, it doesn't matter what who
says, if one breaks the rules, one will be warned!
But if one continues to a second time, they can be banned
from the site! We're not puritan saints here but we do
demand respect for everyone on the board!
El Toro, DC1975, Orin Boyd, Mr Opinion and others will
not be tolorated here! There is almost always a moderator
available here on the SSRF!
I also loved the old site but this is our home now! If the old site
does come back on-line, I may visit but that's about it!

Hmm, i see your points but i rather enjoyed seeing off troublemakers if i'm honest. I suppose you put yourself in danger of being what you are trying to prevent. Mama San, i reckon one of that list could already be here...

I guess I am used to this place, however I guess I felt an eerie closeness to Steven at the other board because it was official, I dunno....It was just my imagination I guess... I will definately visit if and when it comes back...But I am not holding my breath...

We do have to be very careful not to become worse than
those we are trying to educate in the rules of the SSRF!
You are most likely right about one (or more) already
being here! But as long as they behave themselves,
they are welcome to stay. But get out of line and they're
gone!

Could you translate that Mariii? Thanks for asking. I have just got out of hospital after having to go in on Monday. It's been a traumatic year as i was never in need of teatment before this year. Anyway, you have to smile on. I hope you are ok.

I preferred the official message board, as there were better threads and proper debates with people who were fans of Seagal but could also be critical of him without baulking. Okay, some of the threads occasionally descended into madness and insults, but I had some awesome laughs on the old message board. Particularly at Memphis Bleek. Also, the swearing wasn't edited by over-zealous mods. Here there are far too many 'I love Steven' posts. It's okay to like the guy, but it clouds too many people's judgement in this place and I get bored after a while, hence my frequent lengthy vacations from here.

Personnally I like it here and people who like conflict can have it on other sites. Better yet volunteer to help out in some of the really troubled places in the world like Northern India where one part has no water and another is flooded and the sewage is poisoning the fish.
