Ja Rule gets pearls of wisdom from Seagal

Ja Rule says he has Steven Seagal to thank for showing him the ropes in his first major movie role in Half Past Dead.

The movie, released on Friday, is about a man who infiltrates a hi-tech prison to find out where a death row inmate hid his stash of gold.

Steven Seagal plays an inmate called Sasha while Ja takes on the role of another bad guy.

He says he picked up plenty of tips from Steven while they were filming in Berlin.

Ja Rule told Radio 1: "It makes all the difference you know. Just being on the set with good supporting cast, good actors, you know, veterans in the game - it's always helpful for the new young buck trying to come up and I learned a lot from each and every individual on the set.

"It was just a great experience especially being over in Berlin and everything."

I totally agree. DMX lost all of my respect because of the way he talked about Seagal a year after they had done a movie together. He was never man enough to confront Seagal with any issues he had with him when they were on set.
DMX career in movies will be over before anyone notices anyway. He's doing a werewolf movie next(what a reach uhh). He'll never be able to carry a movie on his own and unless he has a co-star like Seagal or Jet Li and Dacascos etc with a producer like Silver backing him his little movie career will be over..

Well, first time I saw Half Past Dead I had a better impression of Ja Rule than of DMX,so it's a pleasure to hear that he showed no disrespect towards Steven. They worked together and had to be a team, that's what Ja Rule has proved.
DMX...oh what can I say about him...I would never get to know him if it wasn't for Exit Wounds but I watched it because of Seagal only...and I wouldn't even mind if it was Eminem instead of DMX.
