the "making of" is disappointing because of the fact that they mostly show scenes from the movie and not how they did shoot them.. and his double lol

better a making of like this than nothing...

and the reshoots from Nu Image with the doubles came later, after producing this making of.

Yes that was the double they used during the normal shots...but later they filmed again with a different double.

I don't think so. The absurd editing of the flying through the window scene is in the making of.

Peace

Yes it is, but the making of was edited later when the film was completed with the new editing. In the scenes behind Jeff King you can't clearly see that the window scene was already edited like that.

I really would like to get in touch with Jeff King. I am so curious about what really happened with this movie. It would be a really interesting story.
Will try to.....

By the way, I have never seen this making off. The download link is not working anymore. Is there someone who can upload the making of??

Good God this movie is one of the worst things he's ever done. Fact! I bought it on blu ray for literally 50p nearly two years ago and I was shocked at how poor it is on every level. It's not even bad in a way you can laugh at it, it's just awful bad and very dull. I don't remember a thing about it, which says everything, apart from a terribly edited scene where a stunt man fights two guys and it's cut together so bad and you occasionally see awkward closeups of Seagal's face. He put no effort in with this, and it's painfully obvious.

I think you got this wrong. Seagal put a lot of effort in this one. After the movie was finished, Avi Lerner bought the movie from the original producer and recut the whole movie. It was supposed to be more of a thriller with some action. Lerner and his people made the action scenes longer by over editing it. Seagal was not happy. You can feel there is a different movie with a different story in it somewhere. And yes, now it is one of his worst movies. But this time not because of Seagal.

By the way, you should check the book Seagalogy where Vern talks about this.

That's why I really would like to do an interview with Jeff King. Just to hear how he experienced the making and outcome of this movie

I think if you remove those overlong fight scenes with the double and edit the action scenes in a normal way, the movie would be pretty decent, maybe even one of Seagals better DTV movies. Maybe the original version was just like that.
Would really like to see the original movie or a director's cut, but probably will never happen?

Think it's pretty obvious this was once a much better movie and got screwed up somewhere along the way. The choppy fight scene in the bar is just agony to watch with glaring views of the double's face. If they were simply wanting to juice up the running time, why did they bump up worthless fight scenes and chop out others like the one Vern refers to in his book - Seagal and Isaac Hayes having lunch in the morgue next to a corpse which actually sounds funny.

I don't blame Seagal at all for being unhappy with it.

We were too.

Has Seagal actually said he doesn't like this film? I know in some interviews he's said something like "I've made good ones and quite a few bad ones" but I'd love for him to say which ones and why.
