Steven Seagal Lawman Begins Production on Season Three in Maricopa County, Arizona
Tuesday, 22 February 2011 14:57

A&E's hit series "Steven Seagal Lawman" is going back into production for a third season, chronicling martial arts expert and international film star Steven Seagal's extraordinary life in law enforcement, this time in Maricopa County, Arizona.

In the new season, Seagal has joined up with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office and will execute outstanding arrest warrants, respond to emergency situations, work with the narcotics unit, and much more.

"I have a lot of friends in the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, so when Sheriff Joe Arpaio invited me to join them, there wasn't a moment's hesitation," said Seagal. "Certain crimes in Arizona are on the rise and now that I live there, I want to help the Sheriff fight it the best way I know how. It's an honor to serve."

"Mr. Seagal has been on this horse before so to speak and will be an asset to this fine organization," says Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. "We look forward to working with him. We're a little unusual here, which should make things pretty interesting."

Arizona is on the front line of narcotics trade, murders, cartels and smuggling, and Steven set up residency in Maricopa County in order to help keep the peace and protect the community. In each thirty-minute episode, fans will ride shotgun with Seagal as he and Sheriff's deputies work on open cases and respond to crimes in progress.

"Steven Seagal Lawman" premiered in December 2009 to 3.5 million total viewers, making it one of the most-watched original series launches in the network's history among all key demos.

Steven Seagal Lawman is produced for A&E Network by Steamroller Productions and ITV Studios America. Steven Seagal and Phillip B. Goldfine are Executive Producers for Steamroller Productions. Binh Dang serves as a Producer for Steamroller Productions. John X. Kim is the Executive Producer for ITV Studios America. Executive Producers for A&E are Robert Sharenow and Neil A. Cohen.

I hate to say this but this new thing Seagal is doing in the border against hardworking spanish people that cross the border just to come work in the USA its total BULLSHIT! . Its is disgusting that he helps Arpaio, he is an asshole that has no respect for human beings, and seagal helping him only shows he is an asshole too!!!....Steven: you used to be my favorite movie star, now I have no respect for you....

Sorry to hear you say this Carlos. But it is a fact that there are many illegal immegrants crossing the borders. They get exploited and abused in the US by their employers. And because they are so cheap (no social premiums are payed etc.) they also are one of the causes for unemployement in the border region for US residents.

So the work Seagal does is 3 fold. On the one side he is stopping criminals (human trafficers and smuglars), on the next side he protects the immegrants from a life of abuse and on the third side he secures jobs for local residents.

It has nothing to do with some racist issue toward hispanic people as you are implying in your post.

You don't have to agree with everything, but with what you are saying you have no respect for any border partol officer. They put their life on the line every single day to protect US citizens and stop the flow of drugs, smugling and human trafficing. They encounter many (well armed) criminals who do not hesitate to kill or leave their 'clients' when caught during an illegal crossing.

They deserve respect.

Peace

Kotegashi with all the respect you deserve, I don't think you know whats really going on. First: Illegal inmigrants do the job americans dont want to do. Do you know any american that would like to work in the tomato fields????...I dont think so. Secondly, your right : I dont have any respect for border patrol agents because most of them are of hispanic descent and they are going against their own people, treating them with no repect, it seems they forgot their parents were at one time Illegal inmigrants. Third: The drug smugling will never stop because there is so much corruption within the border patrol agents, and because mexicans might bring it to the USA but AMERICANS consume it. Offer supplies demmand, and there is a lot of demmand in america. I know Seagal doesn't care but he is gonna be hated by minorities if he continues with this nonsense...

Carlos, it is true the jobs they do are not the most liked jobs. But i do think that many unemployed americans are now willing to take any job as long as it pays most of the bills.

And although i understand your arguments about border patrol, i still believe they do a usefull and necessarry job. And they prevent a lot more crime.

Yes offer supplies demand, but what was first? Supply or demand. I think supply was first.

Peace

@ Carlos...I have to agree with Kotegashi, I reside in a "Safe Haven" state for illegal immigrants. We give them SSI, Food Stamps, housing, free medical care...etc. As a result, our state is on the brink of financial ruin. I myself suffer from seizures and other medical conditions that prevent me from working at this time, and I have been without an income for THREE YEARS hon.....Whereas someone who comes to my state illegaly can get on SSI and be bumped to the top of the Section 8 certificate list within a matter of about 8 weeks.

Even if I get my disability case approved, there is no guarantee that the state or fedaral government will be able to sustain my payments, as we are paying so many illegals SSI who have never paid ino the system to begin with. But someone like me, who worked since she was 15, and at 34 became disabled.....I DID pay into the system, and I am NOT getting any answers, even though my hearing was nearly 6 months ago.

I don't doubt that some illegals do come here for a better life, but they are very taxing an already overburdened system.

BarbaraAnn101 you gave an excellent butvalso extremely sad example about how illegal immigrants influence the life of legal citizens.

I truly hope you will get your case approved and will receive all the financial and medical care you need and deserve.

Carlos you can't just lay the entire blame on Chief Steven Seagal. These hateful words you are writing are quite disrespectful. One human being doesn't abuse another human being by using vulgar language. I always thought peoples living in Mexico or across border were 'Mexicans', not Spanish? Aren't the Spaniards or Spanish folks from Europe??? Plus, theres criminals in every race of peoples even the Mexicans coming across the border alongside the hard working folks looking for employment in the USA. Don't hate Chief Seagal for doing what is right
