Lousy Directors!

Hi you all!

Haven't posted anything for a while, but here I go again...
I've been watching a lot of SS films for a couple of weeks. Really enjoying myself. One thing I've come up with is that the big guy needs to work with good directors again.
Flops like "the Foreigner" "Half past dead" and "Ticker" has newcomers or old bad directors and these guys destroys his persona. This Michael Oblowitz, I hope he never gets the chance to work in the filmindustry again.

"Belly of the Beast" director Siu-Tung Ching is an asian director witch seems to know a bit about making movies and SS gets to glow a little bit again. But only for a couple of minutes before he's v.o. by another man. This happens in "Out of Reach" also and is very annoying. Why the bad v.o? The money was gone and it's cheaper to get a nobody to v.o or did SS have other things to do (he is a busy guy). To bad anyway because these films really did have something going.

I have a bad feeling, and I hope it's wrong, about "Into the sun". Mink is a second time director and with my reasoning this is bad.
Think what a great actiondirector like John McTiernan or Richard Donner could do together with Steven. They would make gold on the silverscreen with the big guy again.

I know he still can deliver (and always can) but he needs a good director or a big company that knows action to get a good movie out there. :cook:

More than better directors, better production companies!

Exactly...and the crew for Out For A Kill was terrible. I really hope that Steven will do something with W.B soon :) :) Allthough I doubt it ..
