I haven't ever seen sites like these Serena-can't be for real-too beautiful :(
I might think the same thing if I hadn't seen these sights myself, Amos. :) And gotten lost for hours on end--on purpose--down roads like that red-carpeted one above. Pure heaven.

1) Painesdale, Michigan. The old building blends in well. :D

2) Silver Mountain, St. Ignace, U.P., Michigan.

3) Country road in Copper Harbor, U.P., Michigan.

4) Paradise Road, Houghton County, U.P., Michigan. Almost looks like a painting, but it is indeed a photograph.

5) Salmon-Trout River Reservoir, Redridge, Michigan. Does the sky get any bluer than the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the fall?

Serena these are so exqusite that every time I see one of these pictures time stop.. ;)

Thanks again, littledragon.

1) View of the Mackinac Bridge, the 5-mile bridge which connects the Upper and Lower Peninsulas of Michigan.

2, 3, 4, 5) Pictures taken of some of the gorgeous trees in the Upper Peninsula.

TREES-TREES-hey Serena go stand under one & I will slip up the tree & shake the branches :)
Any idea how much I'd love that?! :D
Not as much fun as jumping, though. ;)
Got a lesson coming up for my two nephews very soon! :)
Maybe I ought to wear bumper pads and knee braces though, eh? :D

3) Dead River Crossing, Marquette County, Michigan.

4) Goose Lake in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

5) Teal Lake, U.P., Michigan.

Hi, Lotus! :) I'm so glad to see you! Thanks for stopping here in my thread. I'm glad you liked the pictures also. They are beautiful, aren't they? :)

Good question about the Dead River Crossing name. :)
If I get really ambitious, or just a little extra time, I may look that up! :D

As for the Halloween pictures, you know we can't post pictures any more, just attachments. :( Sure takes away from it when you have to click on the little thumbnail. I've been trying to collect pictures that would be easy enough to view without necessarily having to click.

Here's one for you, my friend! :)

Thanks for that, Serena...
I always miss you a lot when I'm away, you know how fond I am of you...
I guess I'm just doing a little soul searching lately, needing a little thinking time...
One thing is for sure, I love Steven more than ever...
By the way, there is a special something about your smilies, I dunno what it is, but your big grin always seems so bubbly...
That's you my friend, so bubbly and interesting...:)

Thanks, Flashgalaxy. :) No, indeed--none of these are my pics! I wish I was up there snapping these! :D I'd never want to come back. :) All of these pictures are from Michigan, with the vast majority taken in the Keweenaw Peninsula of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan--Copper Country--otherwise known as God's Country. ;) Also the home of my paternal grandfather and his family. :)
It's funny that Serena as Yorkshire is also called "God's Own Country". Looks like a lot of people like to use the Big Man's name eh?
The sheer colours of Michigan dwarf most places. It's all green fields and heather out in the country here. Good idea getting a pic topic here where it's seen.

Oh those are super fantastic Serena! Thank you! I can just imagine myself sitting by the lake watching the sun go down.

You know, I never really thought about it, Storm, but maybe Michigan in the fall is a bit different. I assumed everyone had the glorious colors we do, but unfortunately maybe not. I always have considered myself quite lucky! Guess I really am. :)

Alas, the leaves are rapidly falling with the recent rain we've had.

2) The water tower of on the hills of Lake Linden, where I still have relatives, in the Keweenaw Peninsula, U.P., Michigan.

1) Eagle River neighborhood in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This picture was taken yesterday.

2) Same general neighborhood near Eagle River, taken today. :D

As our unofficial slogan says, "Welcome to Michigan. Don't like the weather? Wait an hour. It will change drastically." :D
