It is a great album, isn't it?

I absolutely love "Dust My Broom." I have a version of that song by Ike and Tina Turner, and I always felt that the tempo should have been a little faster. Then Steven comes along and speeds it up! How cool is that?

Hiya KimonoSoul,

You are so right...

I love listening to that album and some songs are so powerful.

To tell you the truth, I can't wait now to see the Maestro live in the UK.
It is an event I am really looking forward to now.

Steven Seagal is the MOJO PRIEST and every song has got a meaning and a message to all of us.

Take care and have a great day,

Much Energy,

Hi Gui,

You're absolutely right, Mojo Priest is excellent. :) I'm just listening it right now, for the second time today. :D

I'm looking forward to see Steven live the next week in Newcastle. :p I'm already completely excited to travel from Switzerland to finally see him sing. What a great time that will be. ;)

Enjoy with your concerts, Gui !

Hi Fio

Hi Fio,

I'm going to put the album again now as I'm just back from work.

What a great way to chill out !

Hey Fio, Enjoy the gig in Newcastle also...

You'll have a great time for sure !

I'll leave my reviews of both concerts on this forum !

Looking forward to the Weymouth gig in particular as it's a small venue and it should be FUN and I managed to get 2 seats in the 1st row right in the middle so I'll be next to the stage...

Speak soon !!!

Much Energy,

Front row center? Man...you are so lucky!

I missed the Chicago show, and I'm kicking myself over that one! I just wasn't paying attention I guess! LOL!!! Chicago is less than a day's drive from me, and I have friends up that way I could have crashed with....oh well! Maybe next time!

I'm looking forward to your reviews, Gui!

What other blues artists do you like?

Hello KimonoSoul

Hello KimonoSoul,

I am so sorry you missed the gig in Chicago.

I hope Steven will be back there very soon.

Weymouth is a nice little venue on the sea side in the county of Devon.
I went there last year to see the famous paranormalist Uri Geller whilst he was touring the UK.
That was a great show as well !

I think this venue hold 500 people ish, so it's not that big, but it will be a kind of intimate venue for Steven to play for his fans.

It's better that way and personally I prefer these kind of gigs in smaller venues because the bigger venues haven't got the same atmosphere etc...
The biggest venues are too impersonal in my view and too difficult for the artist to properly interact with it's audience so I am really looking forward to that one and I really do hope that Steven will hang around after the gig to meet some of his fans to sign few autographs and take few pictures ...This would be excellent. Let's hope...

This will rock and I think it will be electric !

I am very diverse in my music tastes.
I love blues music and I think that Steven is really the Mojo Priest in that field!
I like artists such as BB King etc...and I will always remember going to my friends in Mineapolis, Minessotta 2 years ago for nearly a month, and we were going to Blues clubs there on a regular basis...It was great....We went to another great blues club in Times Square in New York City, but I cannot remember the name of that club.

I also like country music and I'm a fan also of kris Kristopherson and have got 2 or 3 albums from the man, so this is the reason why ' Fire Down Below' is my best movie as you can imagine as both Steven and kris are in the movie, the story is great, the actions sequences amazing, the morale of the film excellent ( I'm an environmentalist also and fundraise for the biggest environmental organisation in the UK), and the OST magic !

I also like electronic music from Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, etc....so my musical tastes are very diverse...It just depends in which kind of mood I'm in and tonight I'm in the Blues mood !!!!

Yep, don't worry, will write my personal reviews after both Steven Seagal's concerts, but I am so biased, you can be sure they'll be super positive reviews !!!!

Much love & Energy !

I agree with you...small venues are the best. I've been to the big arenas, and it just isn't the same. If you really want to enjoy the music, go see a band in a smaller place...a theater, bar..etc.
Kris Kristopherson is a wonderful singer/songwriter. I'm kind of in to Willie Nelson at the moment as far as country goes. I'm like you, my musical tastes are all over the place...Patti Smith, Kate Bush, John Lee Hooker, Big Sugar...well you get the idea!

Gui...something you might want to explore as far as the blues is concerned....there is a small record label here in the states called Fat Possum Records. They produce what is known as the "Mississippi Hill Country" sound. One blues artist in particular on that label I enjoy is a guy named R.L. Burnside. An album you might like is "Come On In"....it's kind of a mix of blues and a little bit of electronic music. It's an older one. You can buy stuff directly from the website. There is also a great DVD you should check out called "You See Me Lauging." Burnside is in it, along with some other great bluesmen.
