In your experience, how long after the trailer is released until the movie is released?
Also, do you know if his movies are released sooner in one country than another? Or does it change all the time?

Well Direct To Dvd movies like this one, it will probably be between 1 or 2 months before the US dvd release. I cant say for sure though, and we dont even have a release date for the movie yet. But that is how it used to be, it could have changed over the years.

With Theatrical movies the teaser trailer is usualy released from 6 - 12 months before the actual movie itself, and the Full trailer between 3 - 4 months before, all depending on how big the film is.

Example:

Star Wars Episode 7 (release date December 18th 2015)..
They will probably release a teaser trailer in May or early June 2015. Then probably around August/September the Full Trailer will be released. Then in early December as we get closer to the release date Tv spots will be released.

Bare in mind that this is just my personal observations, other people may have different opinions and observations.

Hope it helps to give you a little big of insight on how these things work..

Outstanding explanation, Mason! Really good of you to take so much time to reply.

I didn't realize the teaser trailers came out that far ahead of the movie. I'm guessing the teaser trailers are only on the internet? Or I wonder if that's the kind you sometimes see in the previews at the theater where it barely gives you 10 seconds of info, then says something like "To be released next summer", leaving you with no idea of what the movie will be about? LOL

I will keep an eye on this post and if it turns out to be right we'll remind everyone you were spot on!
If it isn't right, we'll just pretend it never happened. :D

Thanks again!

Possibly Lionsgate gained the film rights. As was with Anchor Bay. We must wait for the trailer and see who represents the film.

Well we can try and look through Lionsgate's website and see if we can find an A Good Man section.

Steven Seagal (Exit Wounds) is once again a force to be reckoned with when A Good Man arrives on DVD (plus Digital), Digital HD and Video on Demand August 19 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment

It says that in the article http://www.hometheaterforum.com/topic/331829-lionsgate-press-release-a-good-man/

I know, but I dont see any source of information for his post on that forum. So he could have misunderstood something before posting his news, or there could have been an mistake in the press release.
I just went through Lionsgate's website and there was no info on A Good Man. It seems pretty strange that they dont even have a section up for the movie yet if it will be released August 19th and if they bought the rights to it ..

I do like that cover! I also like the fact that there is no one else on the cover. I would like to think it's a good sign that he will be in this movie more than some of the last few. I've noticed that -- that when there are other faces on the cover, even in the background or smaller, that Seagal's actual screen time is a whole lot less than we would like. Maybe it's just coincidence that I noticed that, though. Maybe with the longer running time it means more Steven time. LOL

Although probably not more running Steven time. :D

Plot:
After an illustrious special ops career ends in disaster, Alexander (Seagal) goes off the grid and attempts to lead a quiet life as a handyman at an apartment complex. But when one of his tenants and her family fall under the thumb of a Russian gangster, Alexander is dragged into an all-out war between rival Chinese and Russian gangs, forcing him to not only defend the family, but bringing him face to face with an old foe, and giving him one more chance to reconcile his past.

Hmmm....don't know if i like this plot. Looks like a very generic boring plot.

Wish he would do something refreshing for a change like he did in machete (but then in a bigger part).

Peace
