Hi Biwamaiki,

Welcome to the forum, myself & my hubby were also at the Newcastle Concert last night, the atmosphere was electric, Super Chikan (supporting act) really set the night away, his humour, his stories, his banjatar as he called it, and his other instrument made out of a cigar box & a pool cue, with strings, it was electrified of course, it even had a hidy hole in the back for his 'treasures'. Then Steven & Thunderbox they were brilliant for the length of time they were on (just over an hour), we payed £27.50 for centre aisle seats, 3 rows from the front, C16 & C17, the only thing that spoilt the night was when Steven asked all the pretty girls in the room to get up and dance for that song, afterwards, everyone thought that was a cue for them to come down to the front & take photo's, even when they had taken loads of photo's they wouldn't sit down, so those sitting at the front could'nt see anything for lanky young men & women, which was rather off putting, the music brilliant, the people enjoying themselves fantastic, people getting in the road sickening, and as for any fans going backstage no way! when people went for autographs, their programmes etc were taken from them by a japanese girl who I think was Stevens daughter, given to Steven to sign, then passed back at the other end of the table, you never got the chance to say a word to him. Which was a shame really, as I was talking to a man who had trained with Stephen in Paris a few years back, and he said Steven was a real friendly person when he talked to you one-on-one, just his managers & people looking after him, treating us like the plague I suppose, while on stage last night I have never seen him smile so much as what he did, as when he was singing, he was so relaxed & enjoying himself. Anyway I hope you enjoyed yourself as much as we did, come back soon Steven, Thunderbox, & Super Chikan!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!

Great concert !

Hi Suzy, that was great to meet you at Newcastle. :D

I was seated just in front of Suzy, on the Row B, seat 16 and I also really enjoyed to see Steven. ;) To be honest, I don't know what to add to what Suzy said. :) I took some pictures, but will put them on the computer later in the day. I also tried to film with camera, which wasn't so easy when so many people were close of the stage, I've got the same problem with pictures, but I think I've got some good ones. Will post some of the best ones in here, but all of them will be on my blog later. I'll try to post on my blog the mpeg I did, at least the best ones because even if I was in the second row, the result isn't perfect and Steven looks so far from me, except on the pictures, of course, where I've got some very close ones thanks the camera's zoom. ;)

I've also got the brochure signed by Steven, I took a picture, but unfortunately he watched somewhere else. :( When I arrived to him, he smiled at me. ;) I was on cloud 9 - and still is lol. I'll never forget this smile and the concert neither. Oh.... there was a review on the newspaper 'The Journal', I'll also post it in here in the day. :)

Thank you a lot Steven, I've got a great time thanks to you and your musicians. ;) I'll never regret to had to go to Newcastle, where the wind was terrible. I learnt when I arrived to Geneva that a lot of flights were cancelled from different cities in Europe, but mine wasn't. Phew ! :)

Hi Fio, So you got home safe, thank goodness! your pictures turned out a lot better than mine, I got some very good pictures lined up, but by the time they came through they were totally different to what was on the screen, the delay on the camera must be all wonky!! It was a fantastic concert was'nt it? Steven looked absolutely fabulous didn't he? he was singing in top form. I was pleased to meet you Fio please keep in touch, we never did have much time to talk, now we will have plenty, wednesday was a dream come true, txt soon Fio, from suzyr4458

Blog updated

I just uploaded my pictures and a review of the Newcastle's concert on my blog http://fio-cliffan.bebo.com/ . :D I tried to upload the small part of some songs recorded with my digital camera, but that didn't properly work - there is no sound. :( I never been able to record more than 1 minute because there was still someone of the public who came just in front of me. I'll try to put one on here, hope that work. Sorry it's very short, but the largest one are simply too big lol
