Steven Seagal is responsible for introducing me to a path in life which i never believed possible. This I will always be grateful for. I am aware that he is a human being, like the rest of us, and therefore has flaws, makes mistakes, etc. Nobody is perfect. As true fans, most of us will support what he chooses to do, through thick and thin, even if that means being dissapointed from time to time. I still believe that he tries his best, in whatever he does, under whatever circumstances. I have always had the impression that Steven Seagal has no time for bulls##t, and the movie or showbiz industry is full of it. He`s always seemed uncomfortable being involved in it, but does it, I believe, to reach people and to get a message across to as many people as possible. I believe he truly wants to make a difference in this world, and if only one person becomes a better human being because of him, then he has done what he set out to do. So, KEEP ON MAKING FILMS, STEVEN! It won`t be the same when there`s no new Seagal film to look forward to.

All the best,
Dragonking.

all i can assume is that Steven Seagal waits for his fans' reactions to his entertainment suggestions and then changes his mind from there in order to make a solid decision to either make a movie or not
Or, it could be that Steven Seagal wants to simply inform us of his 'possible' plans to do something with a 'possible movie' despite the reactions from his fans as well, even if his cinematic endeavors in print materializes or doesn't
Your guess is as good as mine about what Steven Seagal will or will not do ?????

But why does he still making movies when he hates them? And on the other side he said in an interview he get some ideas that even can win an oscar, or get a theatrical release, but he doesn't start this projects, his only starting this small dtv projects because it isn't much work and he can earn a lot of money in a short amount of time.

im still a great fan, but this really cracks me up, because I ALWAYS BUY HIS STUFF, and so it makes me angry that he doesn't care about the quality.

Hi Hofmae, I don't know whats put you in a bad mood, but this is'nt like you, Steven enjoys acting, singing, & his martial arts, yes at 55 he has put a bit of beef on (like most of us) of that age range, (I'm 48), with that there's a few things that become more difficult to do. At different times in his life he is taking preference to different things he likes doing, do you not do that too? one moment it's his martial arts, then his films, then his music, everyone seems to think that he has just taken music up in the last few year, that is just not so, he got his first guitar at the age of 12, & he learned guitar & drums before that from his friends, so its not as though he has just taken up music. His songs from the Crystal Cave has been out a few year now & this year in England his Mojo Priest Cd has been released.
Why you are going on about Steven using his money from his films to fund his music career, what the hell does it matter what he does, as long as he does it well, & every actor or actress has films that are not to everyones liking, or turn out to be complete flops! He can't make fantastic films all his life, I think his done very bloody well for the years he's been in acting, for the following he's got, I saw him in concert on 17th Jan at Newcastle, & if you had seen the way people were singing & dancing in the aisles to his music, it was brilliant, & I've got to admit I was sceptical at first about his music, so was my hubby, knowing him as an actor, we did'nt think of Steven as anything else, but he was brilliant, it was our first ever concert & we would definitely go again, come on Hofmae! Steven does a lot of good work for charity, he needs money for that, he's had this world tour to arrange, money for that, he now has his own martial arts training schools all over, money for that! so come on something has got to fund them!! think about it all before fire comes out of your ears lol! The thing I am pissed Off with is? people calling him! when they don't realise the good he is doing for charities, animals, nature, etc! Thats why he is the Best! LONG LIVE STEVEN SEAGAL XXXXXXX

If Steven Seagal could look, act, and think the way all of his fans desire, that wouldn't be reality
Let's just acccept the way the Creator is currently molding Steven Seagal to be
Despite what we think or want from Steven Seagal, he's the ultimate in movies, no doubt there

Look first i don't care about how old Steven is. He's still a great actionguy. But he should take more care about his fans and make better movies. Because if he wouldn't made action movies, there wouldn't be a Seagal-Board and you all wouldn't be Seagal-Fans. The movie-business made him popular and only because of his acting career, people buy his records (most people). So i think he could be more thankful and so release good movies again. Be serious: I don't need big flicks i don't even need a theatrical release, but every 3 month a release that someone other wouldn't release at the market. Attack Force was soo bad, for me not a movie, only a mess. And im getting angry, because we buy his movies, we buy his records, and he don't care about the quality of his movies, he just takes our money for his second career.

Maybe you understand me now.

Im still a great fan of Steven, but he's not a god, and i think some people here cannot accept criticism on Steven, for them he's PERFECT. And i can tell you: NOBODY IS PERFECT.

Definitely not, no-one on this very earth is perfect, & that's the point that I'm trying to get over to you! Steven is like everyone else, now & again he tends to drift between the things he loves the most! he may be better at one thing at one point, & then better at another thing at another point, get my meaning? he can't be fantastic at everything all the time!! you may want him to do great films forever, other people may want him to do his martial arts all over the world, training their classes, others want to hear him in concert, he is being pulled in all different directions, aswell as seeing to charities, nature, animals that he loves etc, he still thinks the world of his fans, in all of his fields, give him a chance Hofmae, he'll do a film that you like soon, & he'll be back on form again, but just remember we all get older, we all become a little stiff, out of shape, can't do things like we used to! & unfortunately Our Beloved Master is coming to that kind of age!!!

Well Suzy i too was at the Newcastle show with my Auntie and have a feeling it could have been you and your husband we were talking to in the hall way waiting for the door to open, Wen we got interviewed by the paper :).

anyway i digress, I see ppl slate seagal for a few lack lustre movies, but out of a dazzling career, which is what he's had as an actor he's made less bad movies than what i could count on one hand, and if im honest ive seen my fair share of multi million dollar box office flops. I kinda doubt ppl get on sylvester stalone's back about the first movie he ever made "the italion stallion" in which he almost played a porn star when he was struggling to make headway in the industry. The fact is seagal doesnt just pump these movies out to make money. I saw an interview on the tv a while back in which he talked about his staight to dvd movies..it was along the lines of him just wanting a different pace of life than what he had in hollywood, wanting to be his own boss and eventually maybe get into directing.

I have masses of respect for teh guy and to see his so called fans get on his back after a couple of bad movies really gets my back up. If you took 5mins to do some research and look at the bigger picture in what he's actually done worldwide maybe you would be more hesitant to jump on him about a couple of poor movies. Afterall as stated by Suzy he is after all only human and capapble of making mustakes as much as you and I are, But he's brought us many years of fun and i'm sure he will bring more to us.

just seeing him in action at newcastle showed his love of the music and his fans, he put on an awesome show and seemed to really love it. On a side note it was nice and unexpected for him to stay back and shake hands and do signings for us all as he had to be on the move somewhere else the next day.

just my "2cents"

p.s sorry for typos i've just woke up^^

Hey Balverine, How you doin? It's really nice that someone agrees with me, & backs up what I'm trying to say, some people expect Steven to be on top form 24X7, it's just not fair he's only human as you say, he's not a Superman like some people think he is. Anyway the Newcastle Concert was a fantastic night was'nt it? he had everybody dancing & singing, & swinging the Blues. I hope he comes back soon? co's I'll definitely be there again, how about you? Keep in touch from now on, it will be great to talk to you, I sent Fio a message but she never sent one back, (girl on Crutches talking to us).

Hof - I think music has always been important to him, he just never bothered showing it. Half the songs for the Fire Down Below soundtrack were written or co-written and performed by him and he wrote the (awesome) song when the credits roll at the end of Glimmer Man, and, if my memory serves me correctly, I'm sure he wrote a song for Under Siege 2 and even one or two songs for Out For Justice. He has probably just realised that his movies are so badly received these days that it's time to move onto other things.

perhaps he just needs to find a better script writer/ better movie to work on. as all artists are their own worst enemies, I'm not surprized about his self criticism (am surprized about him doing it publicly tho)

Seagal may consider "moving onto new things", but his fans will always ask him to return to acting and film making, no matter what DVD short comings he may be experiencing with critics
Has anyone ever watched John Wayne films at the start of his film carrer, now those are bad movies, makes me want to puke at the 'Duke'

Friends,

Please don't be sad and angry and please don't loose your hopes.
I believe Steven is very smart man and he knows what he is doing.

From his new interview :

"* Now that your music career is well established does this mean you have given up on films or will you continue to pursue both?
No, I love both of my careers and will continue to perform in both. I see my future split between the two mediums.

*How many movies have you made to date?
I have just finished filming my 33rd action film and when I finish this European leg of my world tour I will start on my 34th."

I hope these words will be answer our problems..

Take care
