Out For A Kill

Yes, I would think so. For example they never showed Seagal fly anywhere, and while we do understand he is in another country(From the subtitles) it’s a bit confusing. What I mean by that phrase is that it looks at times like he can just walk across to different countries.

I guess the Director just wanted to get to the action scenes and ignore other small details. While not in a film like this, it’s the small details that are important. After I watched the movie it seemed like Seagal didn't eat or sleep and just walked around killing people. While many films do that, it just seemed a bit out of place in this particular one.

"Good review Nick"

Thanks again :)

Maybe he can walk to other countries...
Just kidding, but he sure travels a lot for real...
Yes I know what you mean, they did not give him character development they should have...
They did give him some compassionate moments that were sweet, with his wife, with his assistant as she slipped away, and with his friend in prison...
I really liked those scenes...:)

Yeah but when he does drive he keeps jumping from the right and left seat taking the sterring wheel with him.....lol
as for the table scene .....I thought it was kinda like a scoreboard..you'd briefly stop in and there'd be another guy or two missing from it...just to lets us know were we were in the movie....don't even need a scene selection ..you can see where you are just by viewing that scene..
lol

Personally, I enjoyed the film very much!!
I don't watch a film to pick it apart. When
I do notice something "wrong" I just smile
and continue to enjoy the movie.
There was a lot more "action" in OFAK
than there was in The Foreigner.
God bless,

I'm with you, Casey! Most people don't notice these little things anyway, but I think men have a tendency to do so more than women...
I just try to enjoy myself, and realize that we are all human, and that there will be a few faux pas in the films...
Steven does not handle 100% of everything that goes on, and is not responsible for mistakes that are made in the movie...
He does his job, and he does it with a lot of charm!
The Foreigner was it's own film, and Jonathan a very interesting man, both movies we quite enjoyable to me...

Guess Whos Back !!!!
1st off i am a sincere fan of steven and his movies .....But

What the hell was this piece of crap that i paid £20 for this is the kinda movie that can finish an actors career, to actually believe that seagal was in this made me cringe , i thought well hey steven seagal is in it so it has to be good ?? Right ??.....WRONG !!!!!

Seagal looked very disinterested in the part he was playing , im sorry to be so critical on this next point but he also looked old and bloated and tired , he just didnt look like steven seagal that i know Ok so steven has had varying sizes since about the middle 90's and yes he proved in this he can still cut it for a man off his age but what the hell was the need for wire-work slow-mo bullet time and C.G.G (computer generated graphics) steven doesn't need to rely on this crap to make his movies work ...... Steven take some time off , lose some weight and blast back with a box office hit Under Siege 3 , Unleashed , or another big action flick which made you "The Man" ...and stick to big name director or action directors Andrew Davis did u proud or try Michael Bay or John Woo

Out For A Kill Review 1 out of 5

Well, frankly, I'm speechless,
grrrrrr...
Very sorry that you didn't like
the movie...
Sad to say, but Steven is not in
control of everything that goes on in
the film and that alone might even make
him feel frustrated, bored or indifferent...
Keep that in mind...
I agree, the director did a bit of a poor job
that is true...
Maybe Steven is a bit tired and needs
to take some time off instead of
working so hard making movies
that people pick apart so ruthlessly...
I still say you all are unrealistic, but
then maybe I am too...
I simply go with the flow, I don't pick
apart every scene, but I guess these
are slight differences in men vs. women...
Doesn't anyone try to focus on the
positive anymore? Sheeesh...

Oh well i just rented this film and to be honest i thought it was ok!

However i didnt think it was one of seagals best! the fight scenes were good! except monkey man( stupid ) and the last fight with the miserable old dude! ok yes a Katana can be thrown but to decapitate him was just plain daft!

the things i really didnt like were the poorly done ccg which in my opinion were dire, the bizarre tattoo studio bit, and the way the film just jumped all over the place! one minute he's talking to his wife then he's somewhere else with this stupid tickertape noise in the background!

all in all i think the director (who i have never heard of) should be locked away from anything that even looks like a camera and that seagal should remember he is above this kind of poorly constructed rubbish and produce another brilliant film like Glimmerman!

"Sure, Mr. Seagal has good movies, but they are all the same kind of movies, which is very good. I like it, so stop ******* with Steven, OK? Thank you."

Happy to help out, Casey.

And no, I STILL don't have the movie. B&N said they shipped it on August 19th. Well, it's September 7th - almost the 8th, now - and it's somewhere between wherever it is B&N ships it from and here.

I tried looking for a copy in the stores, but not one could I find anywhere. And, alas, I'm welded to my chair for at least another week doing not only the election work, but another newsletter that I was supposed to have started last week, so there's no chance I can out and troll for a copy.

Not to mention I still have a magazine to review, so I should do that now.

-TD, overwhelmed and getting antsy about her missing dvd

awwwww, real bummer...

I felt that ordering it in advance might screw things up that's why I didn't...

I thought they might get backlogged really bad...

I am sure you'll get it soon...

WAIT A MINUTE LOTUSSAN !!!! :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

U go on about me and the rest of us being unrealistic....this coming from the same person who sits in this forum and acts out her "fantasy's" about steven seagal.....Unrealistic ??? i think this is a case of the pot calling the kettle black !!!........

For your information i DID NOT pick apart the film (Out For A Kill) i merely stated my opinion (of which as a paying fan of stevens) i am intitled to , I said that steven seagal does not have to rely on special effects and slow mo bullet time as the man has the talent to do things the old fashioned way ( marked for death, glimmer man , fire down below, above the law, hard to kill.....need i go on )

Also your remark about the difference between men and women being able to judge a movie ( which when u look at it is what this is about) is a very sexist and immature remark, your feelings are obviously based on the fact that you are in love with steven seagal so therefore you are not making an unbiased opinion .....its like "nobody can come on here and say the least little criticism about Steven " because lotussan will simply NOT HAVE IT !!!!!

99% of the time i enjoy mr seagal movies this was the exception as i pointed out for many reasons that were beyond stevens control , it may be the only bad film in his career for all i know but provided i am not coming on here and savaging steven seagal i dont see what YOUR problem is apart from the make believe romance you have going on with him in your head !!!!

GROW UP LOTUSSAN REAL ADULTS are allowed opinions !!!!!

Doesn't B&N have a tracking option to click on..it should be able to tell you exactly what office your items are at....
and I don't think you'll find the movie yet in a retail store until after the rental run(30-90 days)..that's also when the videotape price will drop to $15 instead of $110...lol
