Out For Justice uncut footage (and a few other '90s action films)

Hi fellow action fans!

It's my understanding that some violence was trimmed in the U.S. version of "Out For Justice" to avoid an NC-17 rating, including a few edits from the classic final brawl with Richie. I've also heard that the only fully uncut version of the film exists on the English laserdisc, and was wondering if somebody has a DVD-r copy of it or knows of a video of it floating around on the Internet somewhere. I have ExpressVPN now so should be able to access videos that are only available in other countries.

There are a few other films from the golden era of action films that I'd really like to see fully uncut as well, namely "The Punisher" (w/ Dolph of course), "Showdown in Little Tokyo", and "Stone Cold". But "Out For Justice" is especially important, one of my top 3 favorite films of all-time!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Showdown in Little Tokyo - the DVD I have is a European one which is uncut and has the full beheading, the boobie shot and the close shot of the big guy being stabbed in the baths which were all cut for the R-rating.

The Punisher - have got the uncut German DVD - the 18-rated version which says "Uncut" on the front - which has all the violence cut for the R-rating - the head-splat in the restaurant, the nanny death, the hand being chopped off, the Samurai on the spikes and the full neck-snapping of the mute villainess.

Out for Justice was apparently cut for an R-rating but I think the uncut laserdisc is just an old wives tale. The final fight looks choppy in parts, especially when Forsythe digs his finger into Seagal's bullet wound - the music sounds a bit uneven as if something's missing.

Get the feeling a lot of Seagal's older films were cut for the R but I seriously doubt we'll ever see the full versions. The gunfight towards the end of On Deadly Ground looks very choppily edited as if some of the stronger squib shots were taken out. The scene of Seagal cutting into the dead woman's chest in The Glimmer Man always looked very suspect too. A more violent version of Under Siege 2 reputedly played in Canadian cinemas for some reason but again there's no evidence.

Thanks for the info, Forrest. I have heard about Under Siege 2 and Marked For Death having cut scenes but never heard anything but fully uncut versions of them floating around.

Would you be able to upload those cut scenes from the Dolph films onto YouTube please? I already have the US DVDs of this films, so it seems like a lot of money to buy foreign copies with international shipping and so forth just for a few forty extra seconds of carnage.

If an Uncut laserdisc isn't around I highly doubt we will ever see it (plus the other films you mentioned since they're all from Warner I think) If you want a good version of The Punisher the Australian Blu-Ray is probably the best btw it's affordable, region free and has 3 versions of the film (Unrated, R rated and a workpint if i recall correctly)

Full stabby scene from Showdown.

There’s an uncut version of The Punisher on Amazon Prime but for some weird reason it’s in German language.

Thanks for the info and the video. I remember years ago there was a Steven Seagal fan site called "Fuck You and Die" where the webmaster mentioned owning that fully uncut British laserdisc of "Out For Justice". If the site was still up and running, I would have contacted the guy to ask for a DVD-r copy. Oh well...

The website name rings a bell.

They probably just meant the laserdisc was ‘uncut’ compared to the old UK VHS version which was cut for violence. Later versions restored material cut by the UK censors, but seriously doubt the UK laserdisc had any material the R-rated version didn’t.
