Out Of Reach's plot was very boring however there was some excitment. I liked the fight scenes even though there were not that many. I liked how the fight scenes and action scenes did not have any computer or wire effects and that is a major plus. I think Out Of Reach is better than OFAK, BOTB, The Foreigner. This film is ok, its not bad nor good. But it is not as close as Seagal's quality films he used to make.

My rating: A strong 3 out of 5 stars.

I change my rating to: 2.5 out of 5 stars

The movie was just so dull and boring..

SOme things i liked in Out of Reach. Steven is a lot in this Movie, he don't fight much but he's always in there... That i liked very much :) But this movie has the same problem then most new ones: Not to much action!

I thought Out Of Reach was okay, the shootout in the brothel wascool but the fight scenes where kinda disappointing given they where choreographed by Hong Kong action director Yuen Tak.

I think this movie just holds a special place in my hate box because it was the first Seagal movie that I had ever seen that I just thought was crap.

Not as strong as BELLY OF THE BEAST, which was a step up from OUT FOR A KILL and THE FOREIGNER, but thankfully not as bad as those two films either. The film tends to wander a little too much and could have done with some tightening up. The action scenes are okay (the shootout still proves Seagal looks more accomplished with a handgun than just about any of his action movie contemporaries). The dubbing and Steven's absence from the post-production etc, has been covered by other reviews, but I should just add that Seagal looked trimmer in the suit than he does when wearing his usual long coat! A couple of very nice locations were well used, in particular the white building seen as the villain's abode (anyone know the name of that location?)

I've read that some of our Turkish posters have been upset about being the bad guys. Hey, wait until you've been the bad guys in Hollywood movies for as long as the British have, then you have a right to moan! ;)

INTO THE SUN is next...

I actually reasonably like the movie, probably because it was the first film of his that I saw! But unlike sexyblackman, I was amazed at Seagal's fighting style, particularly when he slaps the assasin to the floor - i've never seen a man do that before! If i'd seen movies like Hard To Kill and Under Siege before hand, I would have thought it was crap!

I did not like it...

Don't get me wrong here...

It is the second time in 1 year I watch this film without stopping it
only because Steven Seagal is in it and because I'm a fan of the man...

But too me, my skin crawls when I hear the dubbing and worse of all, as Suzi mentionned few months ago, the double walking in the woods.

Shoot the Double !:gun:

It should be Steven walking here, and not the double...this really killed it for me.

Like you, I like Steven's voice and I hate to listen to the morons who are dubbing him...This drives me insane.

I also thought the story was bad, the acting was bad, the plot was bad,etc...

But Steven was cool and very good when he was doing his stuff.

But he got lost in that mahem...

I'll give that film 5/10 ( I will not go lower than 5 for any films as it is Steven) but this Out Of reach was very average to say the least.

I prefered 100% better Out For A Kill...

Much energy ,

Against The Dark was a rather poor film with Seagal, billed as a Seagal movie to sell it when he was not even in it that much at all a shame
