Prayer Request

I was just positively diagnose with Sjorgens Syndrome last week, although my doctors have 2 more test to run for a definite diagnosis. I just found out today, my jsut-turned-4 yr. old son has tested positive for Sjorgens syndrome & Lupus. Now our Immunologist wants to test me for Lupus, since 2 other doctors suspect I have it and my son just tested positive for it. I do trust the LORD but can't help but have grief in my heart about this news because my son is so little and SO Young! He just turned 4! I knew something was wrong but had no idea it was This! I didn't know children So Young could get such things!!!! I don't mind suffering myself, since I am very accustomed to it & use to it, but can't bear the though of my YOUNG Child suffering! That's my baby!!! No matter how old he becomes he will always be my baby, as my 2 daughters will always be my baby girls.... Thank you for your prays, they are greatly appreciated! Love your Sister, Eagle/Stacey

Terribly sorry to hear your news Stacey

Such sad news about a four year old. I hope your daughters are safe from the same symptoms and diseases.

Both are horrible diseases and there is, as you know, no cure.

It sounds like, from your posts, that you do your best to treat your problems holistically. Perhaps there is some means of easing symptoms and holding much of the progression of these diseases in remission.

Of course we will send prayer's of healing to you and your family, God's will be done.

Blessings,
Myst

Thank You For Prayers

Thank you Myst, for the prayers! I don't know much about these 2 diseases, other than the little I've read in my doctors handbook of diseases. I do know that they are autoimmune disorders and are accompanied by other disorders at the same time; like in my case. I know I will be doing a lot of serious fasting, day-&-night prayers, seeking the advice of traditional medical doctors and herbalist medical doctors, and doing a lot of research over the internet & within my library of books.... There has to be an answer. I know the doctors say there is no cure for either, but I refuse to give up... that is one of the reasons why I like to do a lot of medical research own my own, just for times like this, in addition to wanting to help others and have had a deep rooted currious passion for finding out about sickness since I was 8 years of age. Now, more than anything, I wish I would have taken Immunology & Pathology when I was in college. Again, thanks for the prayers! Love Your Sister, Eagle/Stacey

Hi Stacey

It is always easier to suffer ourselves than to watch our loved ones suffer. You have to trust that they are strong too and we are told that the Lord never gives us a heavier load than we can handle.

Your son will cope in a remarkable way afterall he is your son!

Good luck with coping with all these things and managing them the best way possible. Perhaps you will discover some combination of treatments that are useful.

My prayers are with you and your family.

Hi Sue, Thanks!

Hi Sue! Thank you for your words of encouragement and prayers! You just helped me come up with a great idea for helping my son & myself, cope with this, when you made the statement "Good luck coping with all these things and managing them the best way possible". I love to write and stude and read.... therefore In order to help my son-our doctors/researchers, others children/people experienceing or who may experience these disorders and help myself at the same time to still be able to help care for my children, I think I will start a portfolio journal to keep up with all of or experience-everything I notice and observe-everything I find in my research of these two disorders-and write down conclusions I form from my personal observations/experiences/& medical research understanding, in hopes of also helping find a cure or help the doctors/researchers find a cure.... Also keeping records of our struggles, milestone achievements, prayers, prayers answered and scriptures to claim & believe by faith that are in the promising words of my GOD-ADONAI YAHWEH ELOHEM!!!!! This will help me cope with this better.... Thank you for inspiring the idea, Sue!!!!! Love Your Sister, Eagle/Stacey

I am glad that my words helped you plan and it sounds you've come up with a good one. I saw a programme earlier this year and a Lupus sufferer went on an expedition with other people, it seemed like it was through jungles, deserts and mountains. It was a struggle for her but she was determined and managed to complete it. She decided not to let anything stand in the way of her life and I know determination can take everyone a long way. Good luck to you and your family on this leg of your journey!

Suzi and Sue

Thank you Suzi! Hi again, Sue. That is an excellent idea! I do find that when ever I am outside and take nature trail hikes and walk on the beach out at Ship Island & in Gulfport,MS(when I used to be able to go) It helps a lot (Physically and Spiritually)!!!! It is a proven fact, people that are sick who walk through various nature-preserved outdoor areas, heal faster and respond to various invasive treatments better..... Of course, my son and I have to avoid too much direct sunlight because it makes our condition worse... I have already made that observation in a short journal I made recently for one of my Specialist Doctors, plus I know that from what I have read and understand about SLE Lupus & Sjorgens Syndrome, thus far. The next town over from where we live has a well tree-canopy-covered walking trail through a local swamp, that would be a good place to take my son, for a form of natural therapy. I just remembered that, since it has been a while since I was last able to go! We live out in the country and it takes aobut 40 minutes to 1 hour to get there, depending on traffic and the time of day it is. Thanks SO MUCH for Helping foster all these great ideas! It's easy to forget things when we get overwhelmed, but when we have sisters to speak with, it makes it easier to remember the things we temp. forgot, due to a shock-fog fostered by shocking moments that often occur in our life, at the most unexpected moments of our lives. Thanks for being so helpful, that really means a lot to me! I need to go now, I must go to sleep a LOT earlier than normal because I have to bring my son to a Peadiatric Immunologist tomorrow. Please stay in touch because you are so helpful and so nice. My sons life and well being means the world to me. Again, thanks so much! By the Grace of the LORD ADONAI & YESHUA CHRIST JESUS, we will overcome. Love Your Sister, Eagle/Stacey

I pray you and your son can weather the storm you are in and remember there will be good days and bad days - lets hope you have more good ones than bad. hang in there, I know you will find ways of learning to cope with the obstacles you will face.

Hi, dear my friend , I am a healer and sending you my healing energies on this way. I send a prayer to you at the same time. I recommend it to all SS-fans, it will have have a great help and effect for you:
Holy mother send angels of comfort and relief to those who are suffering in severe disease. Please give them support, healing and unconditional love.
Blessed be

Katalin

Butterfly & Cathleen

Thank you Butterfly & Cathleen, for your prayers; We greatly appreciate them. I brought my son to a new Immunologist yesterday, reccommended by his Peaditrition, who is a Peadatric Immunologist and he ran more thorough blood test. He gave me hope with some things he said. We are just waiting for the results and will find out 1st week in June, what they are. Just keep praying because I truly believe it helps! After Jeb is situated, then I have to go for the completion of my test.... My son is First Priority! Again, Thank you SO MUCH for all of your prayers, Everyone! Prayers are more valuable than any material thing on this earth and way more profitable for all in so many ways!!!!! May the LORD ADONAI Bless each of you for your kindness and prayers! Love Your Sister, Eagle/Stacey

Oh Stacey, my heart goes out to you. I know what it is like to hear devastating news about your young child. My daughter was diagnosed with aplastic anemia and then leukaemia when she was just two. It was the hardest thing in the world to see her pain.

I am glad you have decided to do research and keep a journal. It is what I did, and it helps so much - you can process what you are going through, you can see the progress your child is making, and you can give your observation to your health care givers. They listen more if you know what you are talking about! And, I found, they are also willing to give you more information because they know you will understand it.

Keep strong, Stacey, in whatever ways work for you. Your son needs you to do that.
My prayers are with you.

Hi Michelle/Tiger

Hi Michelle/Tiger! Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement! HOW IS YOUR Daughter? Is she still with you? When I was 12, My dearest best friend died of Lukemia! It was SO HARD to accept because she was such a love-kind-sweet person who never had a mean bone in her body... I mean, even when she got angry about something, you could not even tell she was angry unless she said so.... She always truly hoped the best for everyone in every situation.... She never even raised her voice at any time!!! I know after she died, I didn't eat much for weeks.... That is what I thought my son had, at first, because he bruises so easy and will not eat much, with fever at times for no reason and sick with some of the same symptoms I remeber Melissa having. Thank GOD it Lukemia was ruled out.... I pray they find a cure so no one else looses another young child to such an aweful disease/blood cancer! Please let me know how your daughter is. If she is still with you, ask her doctor if it is alright for her to drink Olong Green Tea, It is high in antioxidents with lots of healing properties in it. Love Your Sister, Eagle/Stacey

Hi Stacey

Yes, she is still with me. She is 13 now, strong and healthy and vibrant, and has kept in remission for 9 years. But every time she gets sick, I still get very anxious.
I do as much as I can to keep her strong and healthy, including seeking out foods that will help, like green tea, broccoli, and most kinds of berries (good for B vitamins, which are essential for anyone who has undergone chemo).
We also try to eat as organic and vegetarian as much as possible.
I would encourage you to do the same, especially seeking out organic foods as much as possible, and if you can find foods that are both local and organic, so much the better!
Be strong, be positive, and stay in touch with those who give you love and support, even if it is only via the internet.
I keep you in my prayers.

Michelle

Hi Michelle. I am so glad to hear your daughter is still with you and that you are helping her with a lot of natural health care. I truly believe that will help her live long, in addition to prayers! I am like that, too. My children and I, are mostly vegetarian; with the exception of Fish, chicken and some turkey. Unfortunately, my husband is not... And unlike him, I will buy organic foods as much as possible. Well, he does buy fresh fruits & veggies from the local farmers market for us. I think they are mostly organic.... After we get all of my sons test results back, I will go from their to come up with a diet plan that I think will help, based on my Alternative & Tradidional Medical research and understanding of how different natural herbs and foods help heal the body and fight inflamation & pain without traditional meds. that hurt and junk up the body... only using those when absolutely necessary... I pray you have a Blessed Day and I will certainly keep you & your daughter in my prayers....I pray that your daughter doesn't suffer any pain, weakness and fatigue, that the LORD ADONAI will bless her with strengh and Health Every Day, and that the Researchers will soon discover a cure! I pray you have a Blessed Day! Love Your Sister, Eagle/Stacey

Thank you Stacey, for your kind and supportive words.
I agree with you about "western" medicines. But sometimes, they work enough to keep you alive, and that is something. In fact in my daughter's case that was everything to me at the time.
Eating organic is really important. If you can, try to find out whether your local farmers are spraying their crops, as that is the worst. If they are using fertilizers and pesticides and so forth in the soil, it is still bad, but not as harmful to you or other creatures as spraying.
There is good evidence that many diseases that affect the immune system are significantly lessened by eating organic fruits and vegetables. The basic premise is that by allowing plants to grow naturally, their "immune" systsms, such as they are, can also develop and therefore strenghten your own immune system when you eat them.
That of course is a very simplistic version, but it's basically all there.
Have a great day & stay strong!

Love
Michelle

Hi Michelle! I'm sorry if I conveyed the wrong message; When I said I avoid traditional med. as much as possible I didn't mean avoid all toghether... There are times when Alternative med. coupled with traditional med. is necessary and may not be as harmeful as other traditional meds... It's important to do the research on the meds. a doctor perscribes and discuss the options with one's personal physician & herbal specialist, in order to discover the safest & healthiest treatment options.... Although, I believe in the alt. med. for the majority of my health care. For example, for my severe fibromyalgia & 3 forms of arthritis, my doctor tried putting me on harmful steroids(Pretnazone) & 1 med. that was classified as a schedule 2 narcotic(lyrica).... It not only didn't really help but in some ways made me sicker; And when I found out that the lyrica was classified as a schedule 2 narcotic, I decided from then on I would just continue using natural methods to deal with the severe pain, inflamations, firey-tingelly-numbness and often blured vision with sever migrain headachs like I have experienced today.... I try drinking lots of green tea; cook with lots of sage family spices to fight pain and inflamation naturally(Sage,Mediterranean Basil,Thyme,Tarragon & Oregano); take Omega 3/Borage/Fish & Flax Oil capsules, take vitamine E, take calcium/magnesium/zinc tablets; use olive oil to cook with; eat lots of Spinich, Broccoli, Romanian Lettice, Pineapple& Strawberries as much as I can to also help fight pain & inflamation naturally.... and I even absolutely avoid Tylenal for pain unles I have a bad day and can't handel it anymore... Like today And if I do take Tylenal, I only take one capsul. When I hurt as bad as I did for most of the day, I just use this time to pray and take it as a sign to pray longer & have deeper intercession prayer time for those suffering & in need of intercession(like those in Burma & China).... Sometimes I see this pain I go through as a gift to be able to relate to & know how to pray for those suffering with deep physical pain provoked by different circumstances; weither it be from lack of proper medical care, isolated from a hiking accident, oppressed & beaten by a countries dictatorship provoking suffering for their own selfish desires....; sick from a medical condition doctors say there is no cure for; children abandon in the streets by drug addicts or parents who just don't care all over the world in just about ever country.....; or what ever the LORD shows me... I can relate to the pain in some way and know how to pray... so you see, this pain can be a gift to be able to help & relate to others in some way so that I can know how to pray and reach out to them in other ways when ever I am able to help in others ways besides the prayers.... Well, I need to go for now. I hope you have a Blessed night and I will ask at the farmers market to see if the farmers spray their veggies or not. We have a health food store about 35 to 45 minutes from our house(depending on traffic & time of day), but they are SO Expensive and we can't afford to shop their all the time... If we could, I certainly would shop there ALL The time.... Later... Love Your Sister, Eagle/Stacey

Well I hear you on that! It's hard enough to stretch the dollars at the mega-stores and the "health"y stores always seem to be more expensive.
We all just have to do what we can I guess. Hopefully the systems in/under which we live will change to recognize that healthy, sufficient food is a basic human need and a basic human right.

Have a great day

Do you do any spouting seeds yourself? I've read that they are packed with some much nutrient, more so than the same amount of the fully grown plant. I do alfalfa, mung beans and brocoli usually but you can do any. They are an easy way to grow something fresh, and free from pesticides and stuff, at home.

That's a really good idea. And sprouts are really good on sandwiches. I've just moved into a place where I have the light and space to grow stuff, so I may just do that.
And I want to grow some tomatoes too. I like tomatoes. In sandwiches. With sprouts.
