Last November, it
was revealed that the script for the “inventive sequel” to 20th Century Fox’s Predator had been completed and turned in. Director Shane Black (Iron Man 3, Lethal Weapon) and his The Monster Squad co-writer Fred Dekker have been working on a sequel since 2014.
Now, the studio has revealed this new Predator teaser image on the franchise’s official
Facebook page with the caption, “Here we go again, bro.” The Predator teaser image also includes the title “The Predator,” which may or may not be what the studio will go with.

Details on the film are still under wraps but producer John Davis
previously said: The writing is so fresh, the perspective is so fresh. I’m telling you, you’re going to get something you don’t expect and you’re going to say, ‘This is the most entertaining way to reinvent a franchise.’”

The original Predator was directed by John McTiernan and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as the leader of a United States special forces team that comes under attack from an alien entity that prizes the thrill of the hunt above all else. It was followed by a direct sequel, Predator 2, in 1990 before crossing over with Fox’s Alien franchise for two additional sequels, Alien vs. Predator and AvP: Requiem. In 2010, Nimrod Antal helmed a reboot with a new feature, Predators.

Black is no stranger to the Predator franchise, having starred in the original film as Hawkins after having been brought on to help rework the 1987 film. He will direct the film from Dekker’s script, the story for which the pair created together. No release date has been set for the movie.

Really wanted to like The Predator so much but too much got in the way.

The annoying kid.

Too much forced comedy.

The Predator doing dumb stuff like poking a severed arm through a hatch to give the van driver the thumbs-up.

Bland hero.

Did like how they kept the original music and it was certainly a step-up from the Alien vs Predator debacles.

The annoying kid..
I think it's a prerequisite in today's movies....off hand I remember one in Day The Earth Stood Still,
War of The Worlds(the originals didn't have them so they intentionally added the kid),
even the Godzilla King of The Monsters had one tho' I could tell if it was male or female for the longest time.
Bland hero..
no argument

I think the best part of "the Predator' was that annoying gum chewing guy that blew his own head off.

I don't know why they do it, trying to appeal to a kid audience in an R-rated movie anyway.

Wish I could think of a favourite part but am struggling.

Also didn't really get the ending which seemed very tacked-on as a beg for a sequel, which probably won't happen down anyway as the film tanked.
