Rambo V - Sylvester Stallone

I agree wholeheartedly with what lee wrote. The movie would be an ok Stallone actioner, but as a Rambo film it doesn't really work. That's the main sin of the film - that it doesn't feel like Rambo, but more like a generic character that could be played by Liam Neeson or something along those lines.
Under other circumstances I would say that the film does not add anything to the series, but given how the previous entry (Rambo from 2008) ended it on a perfect note, I'll go as far as saying that Last Blood actually does more harm than good to the franchise.

Rambo Last Blood is now available(hd) on ITunes(or the usual sites for download)
the DVD/Bluray and 4k Bluray isn't out until Dec 17th(2019)

Yes...it does have the beginning rescue segment that wasn't in some theatrical releases.

Someone said on the Sly forum that they downloaded it and it didn't have the opening flood scene....
Seems so stupid they cut this out in the US and here in the UK and it's not even a deleted scene on the dvd / blu ray. Madness.

Strange ...I see the Bluray rips are out also...I'm D/L one now...
I saw on Amazon(US) that these weren't even going to be released until the 17th...
I know Amazon sometimes ships early...but 2 weeks early?
my original was from ITunes(Russia) had eng audio and eng subs

Ok..just started watching the Bluray rip...the intro scene is there...so are Spanish subs..
I guess it'll depend on what country you get the Bluray from...US,UK and Candian has the cut intro
from the theatrical release so probably want to avoid buying from there...or post a question about it in the review section first...it's a
good 10mt intro scene that tells a lot about what Rambo has been up to for the past 10 years.

this is from Wikpedia:
Lionsgate released two different theatrical cuts of Rambo: Last Blood, varying by country. In the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada, the film runs 89 minutes; in Australia, Mexico, Sweden, Brazil, and Finland, it runs 101 minutes. The latter version contains several deleted scenes and an alternate opening, which runs approximately 10 minutes:

those run times are incorrect...89mts is basically an hour and a half...the film is easily over 2 hours.

I really enjoyed it, and it's the one and only time I've been to a theatre to see the same film twice.

Do sympathise with viewers who thought it didn't feel like Rambo, maybe it was the shorter hair and lack of bandana.

But it was great to see a 70+ Sly still kicking ass and the slaughterhouse finale was awesome.
