Enjoy it!!!And don´t bother with the dubbing, it´s difficult,I know, as in Submerged of Out For A Kill, but try to watch the movie forgetting the voice dubbing, because if not...You will hate all his dubbing movies

I just watched Attack Force and in my opinion it's one of the worse ones I've see.Steven hardly used his own voice in the movie. The voice dubbing was horrible and to see seagal talking with this horrible voice coming out broke my heart.I've been crazy about Seagal since I was 12 years old,and to see the pictures he has been in lately is a crying shame.I know Nico and Gino are still inside him. Please give him the right pictures to show him again.

Seagal deserves better. Hate to see him in low budget movies with idiotic directors and producers who are more fitted to do soaps.

Today, I went ahead and bought Shadowman and Mercenery For Justice, even though I'd rented them before. Figure I needed to own them, as I've bought all of his movies so far. Also rented Attack Force, and agree it was weird and not very good. Appeared all foreign, even down to dubbing the voices. Very bad. We need a good one for a change.

I saw Attack Force trailer - and I liked it alot....... mebbe 'cos it has a feel of supernatural spooky stuff being nuked and I kinda like that idea of all the inner scary trashy stuff being FULLY REBUKED!!!!!!! SEAGAL STYLE EVEN BETTER!!!!!!! For me it's a kinda allegory for the inner path "spirituel" leading to a sense of inner peace and equanimity once the $%#* is done already

So my friends thought I was a complete and utter nerd when I showed it to them and said that it was complete %^&$ however :rolleyes:I don't give a toss about their vomitously pustulent slants on perceived reality and I'm stickin to tha theory of Wrathful Buddha reflections in all of Steven Seagal's movies - makes it REALLY FUN watching them over and over......so can't wait for the latest releases here.......:D

Forgiving and Undemanding

Seagal has an attentive audience of three types. 1.) Those with the proclivity of wanting to dislike whatever he does and seeing any new release of his as simply another opportunity to lambast his work with insults. 2.) Those who keep expecting him to reclaim his glory of days of his "Under Siege" period and to make films of the same caliber, and thus being perpetually dissappointed. 3.) Those who, as one reviewer aptly put it, are "extremely forgiving and undemanding" fans of Seagal, and enjoy all his films, including the DTV films, including this one. I would place myself in the latter group. I did not rent this film, I bought it, and I will continue to buy his films, and I am not dissappointed. Of course, if I am going to rate his work with a standard used for determining academy award potential, then this film would be rightfully considered a terrible film. But, that is not what he, nor the director had in mind, and in actuality, in it's own right, this is quite a good film. Yes, I will agree that the two major flaws are the voice overdubbing, and the unresolved ending. Personally, the former flaw is an irritant, and somewhat amusing, but doesn't cancel out the redeeming qualites of the film which are an excellent supporting cast, with very capable and commanding female leads, an effective musical score, interesting locations, entertaining action sequences, etc. Not to mention an interesting ambiance to the film which is sort of a combination of Alias, Underworld, and Executive Decision combined. It is a quasi-horror film, which is sort of a re-invention for Seagal. Seagal speaks in a whisper and doesn't take the time to do re-dubs, and so be it. He has gained weight, and the best of them do. He is not known for his acting, nor do I expect him to be. Despite all that, he still has a presence that is formidable, entertaining, and albiet somewhat puzzling, but still transmutes and transcends all these flaws that so many people like to desperately attack. His worst film, in my opinion is still "Today You Die", and his best, is perhaps "Into the Sun." This film, "Attack Force", is somewhere between those two. Either watch it and hate it, but my question is, why do you insist on watching it? Or, watch it and be disappointed because it is not "Above the Law". Or, watch it with a forgiving and undemanding spirit, don't compare it to a Martin Scorcese film, and perhaps admit that it was not that bad. Yes, I hope his films improve. No doubt. But if they remain just like this one, I will continue to watch them, and appreciate what he has to offer.

Man this is UNCANNY! I literallly just finished watchin DVD Today you Die (again!) and I LOVE it!
especially the line " Today I feel like the cherry on the cake, you know what I mean," before the whole warehouse is blown up with all the dead scuzz buckets in it

Also there is some great artwork in it and good subtle humour .... has to be one of my all time favourites of Steven Seagal's movies

Into the Sun is also hot in my books so maybe I'm what you term a number 3 there Tourmaline (nice name BTW)

In fact that line, 'Today I feel like the cherry on the cake, you know what I mean" inspires me to paint a picture of the damn thing!!!!!

So I can laugh everytime I look at it when I'm in that kind of mood to nuke a bit more crap out of my attitude to make way for another slice of the high of life rather than fixatin on some crap that's just an illusion anyway

Man Seagal movies are inspirational!!! :)

Just Finished "Attack Force" and my humble review:

Yes, it was not good one ..

Script was not bad It was different the others. That's OK !!!
This movie could have been better I guess..

Bad photographs.... very dark and foggy.. There is too much and very long talking scenes.. Of course I don't like stund-dubble and dubbing voice.. Both of them were bad..

Girls were really bad and incapable I have ever seen before at Seagal's movie. I wonder where did he find these girls? (I was here :D)

I laughed alot of the final scene when Steven fighting Romanian girl. It was absurd and funny... He is the the Best Action Star, he is the real master of martial arts, and he is fighting inexperienced girl, She is not an actress nor stund. Really It didn't suit him..

The Most important: Steven Seagal

Steven was very good for me I liked him. His make-up, costumes and his light was very good. He was very handsome as always.. I wish he didn't play last scene he lost all his carisma !! :D. It was really unreasonable. Because this Romanian girl was not fighter and she doesn't know what she is doing !!!! heeeeeeeeeee :p

Totally I can not say it was the Worst Steven Seagal Film..

I think, what you are waiting from the Steven Seagal's films. I always enjoy to see him in movies. If you look at this from this point of you "Attack Force" is "ehhhhhhhhhh !!!!! " movie for me.

My vote is : 7/10 (For Steven) :D

Well...my friends...Steven Seagal = Bad Cinema in the last decade, please be more realistic and try to send him a message....

As Tourmaline put it I am a #3 and I have all of his movies and drove six hours and spent about $200 for hotel, tickets to show, and picture/cd to meet him, but I thought Attack Force was the worst movie he has done. I agree with Suzi the last fight was pitiful. It's too bad the movie turned out as it did because I believe the way Steven, Joe, and the director finished it was probrably awesome. What I think they should do is release a director's cut, that I believe would be awesome. Then we could see the true vision with better flow, no dubbing (hopefully), and better overall story. I think the horror vibe was a great change of pace I had hoped originally for Submerged and then really hoped for here. I like that he at least took a chance to do something different then his latest dtv movies even though the producers wrecked it later.

Suzi, you cannot rate Steven's movies so high just because Steven is in there :)

7 from 10 points, that means there are only 3 stages to the TOP RATING. Weird not?!

OK, here goes. As usual, i didn`t expect too much, especially after reading the other reviews on this thread. All i really require from Steven Seagal films is an ok story that`s easy to follow, and most of all, seeing the man do what he does best, namely lots of hand to hand combat, which he does himself. Is that too much to ask? Well, in recent times, it would seem that it is. Attack Force has neither of these things to speak of, but i didn`t think it was all bad. First of all, i think he looks great, and the film has a good look to it. It`s a real shame they didn`t stick to the alien storyline, because i think that had real promise. Unfortunately, as often happens, some really brainy people somewhere had the great idea to change it and turn it into a film that doesn`t really know what it should be. The voice dubbing, i thought, was very funny. It has really annoyed me in his past films, but this time, i just thought it was hilarious! Overall, i still look forward to his future films, no matter how bad the previous ones may be, because i just love to watch Steven Seagal in new stuff, because even if the film is sub-standard, he will always be worth watching. There you go!

A Merry Christmas to all!

May I ask why do they dub his voice in some parts and not in others? I mean what is the reason for dubing in the first place? I like Senseis voice not ones that they want to put in his mouth for the fun of it, it makes no sense.

I think that the main reason that some may dislike so much of Seagal's more recent films is because they tend to take it all too seriously. I also got a big kick out of all the overdubbings. It was so spuradic and untimely at times, that when I watched it the first time, I actually thought that maybe i was on "CTX". When the main drugged girl was making out with the kid under the archway, then went after the second kid that was watching, and she'd be in front of him, then behind him, it reminded me a little of ScrewFace and his Brother in "Marked for Death"(Very Creepy). If you look hard enough, there are so many little enjoyable things about the movie. ie: Seagal and his partner noticed they're being followed by Robinson's men. They get out of their vehicle, feel the need to engage the Car Alarm, walks 30 feet for a 7second confrontation, kicks their butts in 3, then disengages the car alarm to drive away. The whole alarm thing was senseless, but funny to me.
I look forward to more Seagal outings.
Merry Christmas!
