I watched Attack Force last evening. It was actualy better than people giving it credit to be .. The only thing I didnt like was the cordination of fightscenes. They werent filmend verry good, and I hate it when they put them in slowmotion. I wanna see Seagal move as fast as he does in real life .. Then there is the dubbing of Seagal's voice wich is totaly lame, but it wasnt through out the whole film as somebody says .. But other than that i liked it alot. :)

I´m with you, Mason, I´ve seen Attack Force 5 times with my daughter, my wife and a couple of friends and we enjoy a lot with the sci-fi concept, really different in a Seagal movie, and with his huge belly too...you know, we are fans, but the belly is very laughable...

the movie is cool, the last 20minutes in the Blade2/Underworld mood are cool,
as the fight in the room, when he kills the black bitch with the knive in her chest...THERE ARE A LOT OF GOOD MOMENTS IS THE MOVIE

7/10 for those moments in a DTV flick filmed id a week

Love

All I can say is I am ever so glad my husband was asleep when I watched "ATTACK FORCE". He isn't a Seagal fan like I am, shoot he really is more to the point one of those who can't stand him, but he does allow me my love of Steven, however, he does tease me about it. That being said, the reason I said I am so glad he was asleep when I watched it is cause he would never have let me live down the worse dubbing job I have ever heard in my life.
I have seen some other movies of Steven's where there has been dubbing and for the life of me I cannot understand why they do it, however this was trully disgusting.
This is the first movie of his I have ever wanted to turn off in the middle of {even though I didn't} and forget it was ever made.
Shoot this is the first movie of his that hasn't kept me glued to the screen, and that inclueds rewatching ones I have seen 50 times or more.
I never thought I would say this about a Steven Seagal movie in my life but I hate to admit......I have.

i have taken some ribbing for being a fan of Steven Seagal but that's mainly from armchair critics who take the word of Ebert & Roeper as the gospel truth without having watched the film in question. I've watched 'Attack Force' twice and it joins a very short list of Seagal films i've no desire to watch again.. it has it's moments but overall is such a patchy disjointed film and it's something of a backhand slap to have another film loaded with embarrassing over-dubs. How many hours would it take to go into the studio and just do a few lines of that dire script? probably less than an hour.. I'll watch any Seagal film that gets released as a rental or in the cinema but i'm not purchasing a film as poor as this until it winds up in the cutout bins.

Why I won't watch another one of Seagal's films!

I've had it!
This is the last time I'll be duped by Mr. Seagal! I just paid good money to rent a copy of Attack Force.....what a load of crap! The dubbing is so poor, that half the time you hear Seagal speaking with someone elses' voice! It's such a poor plot etc. you can barely watch this drek.

I'll not watch another of his movies if he feels that he can present this kind of work to his public. I will, as a result, not ever, listen and/or buy his music either! It's a matter of principle now. If he disrespects his public this much, I surely won't disrespect myself by ever subjecting myself to watching and/or listening to anything he is a part of !!

Seems to me he is not very interested in making movies anymore, he's just in them to make a quick buck to fund his music career. As far as the dubbing and body doubles go, I don't think he sticks around long enough to make the the proper post production audio recordings and scene changes, so they just slap something together to fill the movie out(sometimes it's better they leave it alone, short movie or not).

clear things up

Attack Force is not the original movie that it was to be.
It was suppose to be Harvester - an alien type movie plot that was set to be just a different kind of movie for a change - It is not Mr. Seagal's or Joe Halpin's fault of how it was changed by the studio and editing with re-doing many scenes --- ergo the dubbing.
Attack Force is a disappointment to pretty much all involved

I cant fathom some fans who say iam not watching any more of his movies so what he has made an cock up on an couple ..
but i wouldnt give up on him just because of that...i have still got to see 'attack force' ...

I agree. I thought Attack Force was an embarassment, but I am eagerly awaiting Flight of Fury in February and Once Upon when it is released. Attack Force was ruined by the studio and I think they should release a director's cut to make ammends with the fans. Just because the studio wrecked his movie doesn't mean I'm going to stop being a fan, it means I move on and look forward to his next project.

I think part of being a fan is the hope that the next project will be better. I love John Carpenter, but he hasn't made a really good film for years, but I keep hoping his next one will be a return to form.

I have FLIGHT OF FURY on order, but I'm not confident it will be an improvement over recent Seagal efforts as the original film it's based on, BLACK THUNDER, wasn't very good to begin with.

Well, Maddladd,
We are all quite aware of the "story" behind the making of
"Attach Force"! The circumstances of the release of that
film have been all over this board for many weeks. Not one
of us appreciates the way the cut, paste and dubbing were
handled. My 9 year old granddaughter could have done better.
I loved seeing him but I detested the way they allowed it to
be presented to the public.
To say you don't like the film is OK!! It's not the first time
that we have heard that and it will most likely not be the last.
But we didn't need for you to continue with the rants and ravings
about how bad you thought it was.

I posted my review of "Attach Force" in the "Movie Review" section
of the "Movies" forum. I pulled no punches. I didn't like it and I said
so, giving my reasons why. But I didn't go on and on about how I
would never watch another film or listen to his music ever again.
If I had made such a statement I'm sure that some of my friends here
would have asked, "Have you lost your mind? That is a stupid remark
to make and it doesn't even deserve our comments!!!"

We have always welcomed all members coming to this board.
But for you to come here and make such a statement in your
first post/thread makes me question just why you are here.
If it's just to cause trouble then may I suggest that you
find some other place to play.
We try to be always ready to listen to constructive criticism.
But, I'm sorry to say, there was nothing constructive about your
"statements".

My opinion!
God bless,
Mama san

Yeah, I don´t understand how Carpenter did the superbs The Thing & Christine, good films as Starman and Scape from New Tork and the rest is crap or almost trash.

As Russel Mulcahy, the superb Highlander, but the rest...

That´s life, not everybody is a genious, no?

DARK STAR and ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 are also excellent. Of the films he made after THE THING, I like BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA, THEY LIVE and IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS. The rest are big disappointments.

I really let everyone has his own opinion. But c'mon guys... This i by far the worst Seagal ever. Even "The Patriot" or "Ticker" looks like a 100 Mio. Dollar Blockbuster compared to this movie. Its not only the worst Seagal flick, i say its one of the worst movies released in the last year, its sooo extremely bad. I watched about 300 DVD's last Year, mostly DTV titles, but i really honestly have to say, there were not more than 10 movies that were soo bad like Attack Force. Its a shame. And i don't get it why, because Keusch is not that bad...

Wow - just saw this flix last nite and I'm still sick.
Maybe the worst film ever !!

Come on Steven - put down the feeding bag - get your butt
back in the gym and give us fans a movie worth our time and money.

I've been a fan for a long, long time but these straight to videos
are some of the worst waste of blank dvds around.

Attack Force was not the best

what in the hell was up with that voice over crap. Every other line Seagal sounded different. That was just too ****ty, but i still enjoyed it. no more voice-overs please.
