Review: Hard To Kill

Hard to kill is seagal's masterpiece, It has it's unbelievably bad moments such as seagal's crap stuck on beard but the sheer anger and vengefulness in his character has me punching the air every time I watch this, There is once again his famed bonesnapping which is always great to see and he just looks so cool. Trust me, seagal has never looked cooler in his work than here. If I ever have to choose just one seagal movie to try to impress someone this is what I choose.
Seagal never apologises for being downright nasty to anyone that wrongs him, Check out the guy he kills in the street infront of his son!!
Finally, How can anyone deny the movie that coined the immortal line "That's for my wife..... F*ck you and die!" class.

Story:5/5
Action:5/5
Bone Breakability:3/5
Overall: 5/5

In his second movie, Seagal plays coma-cop Mason Storm, who after an attempt on his life falls into a coma. I'd like to say that the best part of the movie is before Storm falls into a coma, but that would be mean. However, the scene in the convenience store is one for the history books.

Unfortunately, the middle part of the movie drags on, with Mason Storm trying to get back into shape, doing some of that Chinese mumbo-jumbo, and falling in love with his nurse (real-life ex-wife Kelly LeBrock).

The final showdown is impressive however, with Seagal breaking limbs, shoving pool-sticks through guys' throats, and proclaiming the eternal line "F*ck you and die!" which became the title of my website.

Think about that line for a moment. It carries such tremendous weight. It's not just "F*ck you!" or "Die!", it's "F*ck you and die!" It's such a spiteful and vindictive line. After busting the guy's windpipe, Seagal's sending him to his death with nothing but a big "f*ck you" before kicking his head in. It's beautiful, it's the epitomy of a Steven Seagal movie. If you don't understand that, you can't be a real fan, or at least, you're not as sick as I am. Well, after that, how can I only reward the movie three guns you ask? Well, the middle part is really long and there's too much emphasis on gun play. But it's definately worth checking out, especially for that immortal quote.

Hard To Kill is one of the best Seagal's movies. Great fight scenes, great character (Mason Storm is one of the best characters he has ever played in almost 20 years of acting, I think), great Chinese scenes, Kelly LeBrock is just an help in the whole movie, but I guess Steven could do it all by himself. I also enjoyed the funny lines, like: "I missed! I never miss! They must have been smaller than I thought!".
I'm also a big Bruce Malmuth fan.. he only made two movies, but both of them are kicking-ass movies (The other one was "Nighthawks", 1981, with Sylvester Stallone).

This is the most favourite movie of mine. I really like the story about the corrupted politician Wernon Trent and the cop Mason Strom. ... My rating is 10/10
