Review: The Glimmer Man

I had no idea they were available digitally, and especially HD. I'll have to look into that. You know, since they are available digitally in HD, they will probably never be issued in HD on physical media.

I bought the digital versions of On Deadly Ground, Fire Down Below and The Glimmer Man from iTunes. They have them in 1080P too and are much better quality than the DVD versions in my opinion.
Can you download the movies you buy from iTunes, or can you only stream it? If you can download it, can you use any player with it, or do you have to use an Apple player? I've never bought a movie digitally so I don't know how it all works.

You download them ....and you can convert them to play on non Apple players BUT you need to remove the DRM first(which is easy)
pretty much the same thing you have to do when making DVD/Bluray copies of movies.

I see. Thanks for the info. How about amazon? Is it the same kind of thing with them?

Yeah.....I would imagine....Kindle books download to the PC, but if I want to read them in another reader I need to remove the DRM and convert them...not sure about how renting and buying a movie would work..but if it downloads ...then renting would be cheaper than buying...
kinda like the 'ole' Blckbuster rentals..rent, take it home , copy it and return it...

Has anyone seen Contract to Kill? The hand-to-hand stuff looks pretty good in that one. I'm thinking about picking it up.

I’ve seen it a couple of times. It’s definately not one of his best, but it is good (enough). The hand-to-hand stuff is filmed up close, to close if you ask me, you cant see what he is doing. And i really cant follow him on some points, he is mumbling all the time. And i hate it that he goes to bed with his female colleague, she is naked and he still has all his clothes on including his black leather jacket. He is touching her and stuff it’s disgusting. The story is basic, but the scene when he is chasing someone in a car, its so bad.. he doesnt even fit in the car he is driving haha. It is a decent movie, but not one i will be watching again soon.

Oh, man. That's hilarious. There's a similar scene at the beginning of A Dangerous Man, but at least they're not in bed. I think they're in his study, or something like that. The girls are always extremely young and would never be interested in him. It's just not believable in any way. The biggest reason I watch his stuff is for the martial arts. I might just rent it but sometimes you can pick up DVD copies for the same or less than a rental.

Hahaha indeed, there is also another scene with him and a naked girl, in the end of A Good Man. It is unbelievable that he is doing that, just stick with the martial arts and not this stuff. That's why attrition is so good, nothing with girls he could never get. But just a story and the martial arts. Contract To Kill isn't really a martial arts film, there are a couple of short fight scenes but it is filmed up close. But as a Seagal fan you must watch it ofcourse:) Not every movie is good, but I almost got all of his movies haha.
