I am very inclined to believe this!
From the earliest days when Seagal committed bigamy by marrying Adrienne La Russa before his marriage to first wife Miyako Fujitani had been finalized, he has always had some very strange views on women. While married to La Russa, he then began a relationship with Kelly LeBrock, whom he got pregnant before he was able to end the marriage. Having then married LeBrock, he began an affair with Arissa Wolf, the nanny hired to look after his children, even going so far as to have one of his children with LeBrock named after the nanny. Recently there have been rumors of Seagal marrying again for a fourth time, to someone much younger. Besides these marriage scandals there have been many rumors about how Seagal conducts himself with women over the years, like harassing Julianna Margulies on the set of Out for Justice (1991), or trying to get Jenny McCarthy to strip in her audition for Casey Ryback's daughter in Under Siege 2: Dark Territory (1995). More recently there have been reports from the sets of his recent Eastern European adventures saying the reason he will only spend three hours a day on set and turns up late is that he is indulging in many local prostitutes. I know that some (but by no means all) of this is rumor but lets face it there is no smoke without fire.
Therefore in terms of this recent case, this is not the first time that we have heard of an incident like this, it's just the first time that the woman in question has been brave enough to come forward and press charges. You wonder how many other women Seagal and his entourage, including the producer of most of his recent efforts, Binh Dang (who is mentioned in the plaintiffs report), have had to pay off over the years. Perhaps that is why he has had to turn out so much DTV efforts over the last decade? I just hope that if there are any other victims out there that they feel able to tell there stories now. And lets face it this whole case smacks of Seagal. Running outside with a gun and flashlight is just the sort of thing he would do. This whole tragic tale just adds to the impression that Seagal is just a sad old man living in some sort of perverted fantasy world. The fact that his new wife and baby are possibly being exposed to this is a particularly disturbing aspect.
With his previous history of violence towards stunt men, and general lack of co-operating on film sets, the people at the Sheriffs office in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana and elsewhere must be wondering if Seagal is really someone they want to work with. The producers at A&E Network must also be really disturbed by the latest revelations, including finding themselves mentioned in the plaintiffs report.
