Seagal makes TV commercial...

I was listening to the Howard Stern show on the way into work and the guest was an Access Hollywood reporter, a former intern on the Stern show. Seagal came up, because she interviewed him early in his career, and she said that he just made a commercial for "Sprite or 7-UP or something".

Consider the source, jhogan... the Howard Stern show? Remember, this is the one who interviewed his "wife", the nutcase who really thought she was married to him.

No, the source was a Hollywood Access reporter, not Stern, nor a crazed wanna-be wife. She actually met and interviewed him yrs ago, and she would know since she is in the film biz. She has interviewed many a star, including Madonna and Travolta, so I don't think she would make anything up - why bother to, anyway ?

Yes, but... she mentioned it on the Howard Stern show, and he's not exactly Dan Rather, is he. And an Access Hollywood reporter who interviewed him years ago? I wonder how long she's been waiting to get even with him.

I'm just saying I'll believe the commercial when I see it. He might be front man for soft drinks in Japan, but in North America? It doesn't seem very likely (unless he's really hurting for money).

This was meant as news to folks; I was relaying info. Who cares if it was mentioned on Stern. You think people can't wait yrs to get back at Seagal ? I got the impression she couldn't care less about him; she didn't bring him up, Stern did.

But who cares - not going to get into a debate. If you don't like it, then ignore it.

Thanks for this news, jhogan! I did a search on Google, but could find nothing yet on this particular commercial. I'll keep checking, though, and will post it here if I find anything.

Personally, I think it would be a good idea. Lots of big name celebrities who certainly don't need the money do commercials. The exposure could only be of benefit to him, especially with the younger crowd.

Yeah and if every other member of popular culture suddenly died or got ugly skin diseases..Let's face it can you see Coke or Pepsi spruiking their lemonade with seagal..."You too can put on lots of weight, just drink sprite!"

Well, if true, I think that's great...:)
But like TD, I will believe it when I see it...
Thanks for the news, though...
I think sodas are bad for one's weight, but I have no problems with Steven or his weight...
He is just as beautiful big as he ever was, and I prefer him with some extra pounds...
But his happiness and health is what is most important to me, and weight changes don't mean crap...
Whatever is best for him is what I really want...
Commercials with him would be cool...
And another thing is lots of celebs just do the voices for commericals and for cartoons, he could too, couldn't he?

Yes Lotus but he could be convicted of gang rape, given 3rd degree facial burns and weigh 500 pounds and you would still take a bullet for him, wouldn't you? I'm sure he'd still pump out some ****e films from jail tho - "Away for Life" or "Living with the Mob" and trailer would start "One man,....."

Hardly. I'm just saying that anything that gets announced on the Howard Stern show should be taken with an extremely generous dose of salt. Howard Stern is a shock radio host, not terribly reputable when it comes to relaying news accurately. And a reporter from Access Hollywood doesn't do much for me either, since Access Hollywood is more of a celebrity gossip show than anything else.

I can't win, here. On the one hand, I'm accused of being too ready to believe anything from any source, so I get slammed for that. And then, when I step up and disbelieve something from a source known to be unreliable, I get slammed for that as well.

Yes...

I just saw it, and Amos you're right... it's Mountain Dew.

I guess Stern was reliable this time....
